"Now, THIS IS a MegaMan game. :)"

For too long we have played MegaMan Games which we have criticized for being too easy.

I mean, take MegaMan X 6 for example. We urged Capcom for a difficult game. Did they listen ? Partially. All they did was throw in some stages with heck-a-lot too way many monsters. In overall, the game was just frustrating, not difficult. It seems that Capcom didn't understand our meaning of how a game must be ''difficult''. By being difficult, it means smarter ennemies, attacks that are difficult to avoid, and powerful monsters.

MegaMan Battle Network 2 answers those needs, I guess. I mean, OK. The V1 versions of the Gospel Navis you face are easy, of course, but their V3 versions are way much harder. Harder, faster, stronger, smarter.

Ok, enough justification, let's get to the REAL thing.

Graphics : 8/10
I give it this, cuz, ok, its 16 bits, it could have been better. But, considering the GBA's power, these graphics are more likely to outclass some other games. Still, its a neat improvement since the first MMBN. So, that's it. You might disagree with me, but it's my opinion. If you want to discuss this matter with me, then juss email me, but please, no SPAM.

Sound : 7/10
Um. OK. The sounds are neat, but they still are a little ''Gameboyish''. I means, ''Tilt-a-tilt tilt'' can be annoying sometimes, if you catch my drift...

Gameplay : 10/10
Now we're talkin. The Battle System is really awesome. It has been rechecked since the first game, I guess. I mean, no armors, but the styles more than make up for it. So, your style of play is rewarded with an armor style that suits you. Of course, you might change of style of play later in the game, so you still have a second chance to earn another style :)

Replayability : 9/10
Of course, this is a game that needs to be replayed. You can face extra bosses, but you need to collect more Battle Chips in order to face them. So it's kinda sweet.

Overall : 9/10
Yeah, well, this game is neat. It has its flaws, but minor flaws, they are, yes. The game is still enjoyable. But what would have been cooler is the ability to choose your own navi in a selection. Being Protoman.EXE would be too cool.. :)Or the possibility of playing Bass.EXE would be nice too... I mean, instead of playing the good side as usual, you play the big bad-ass rival of MegaMan everyone likes :P
