Disney's Donald Duck Advance
Review by Eje12345
"Donald Duck invades your GBA."
Introduction
My little brother got this game for 10 bucks at Best Buy. I figured I might as well give it a try, how bad could it be? So that is how I stumbled upon this game.
Game Info
In this game, you control (yes you guessed it) Donald Duck. You go through the levels picking up little items as you go. The only real goal is to reach the end of the level. To do this you must pick up certain items along the way. They aren't hidden, they are just kind of there. It actually can be okay but it soon gets boring. Not a bad idea, but it could have been expanded on to make it more original in my opinion. You have a few options such as dashing, ducking, and jumping.
Gameplay = 5/10
Audio
Well, to tell you the truth I don't really like most of the audio in this game. The music sort of fits the game, because it's happy, Disney-ish music. But it's not good. And it's not fun to listen to over and over. The sound effects could have also been better considering this is a GBA game. These sounds could have happened on SNES and still be considered lackluster.

Video
For a Disney game, I was actually quite impressed with the graphics and sprites. The enemies look great, Donald looks great, heck, even the little items you pick up look great. This game really shows the potential of the Gameboy Advance. The color is vibrant, and it just looks like a Disney game. Please note, this is a good thing. To me, the graphics are the shining point to Disney's Donald Duck.

Again?
There isn't much replay value to this game. You just go through the levels like it's nothing. I guess you could try and collect every little item in the game, but I haven't really even thought about wasting that perfectly good time out of my life. I mean, once you beat it, there isn't really any incentive to do it again. But my little brother (age 4) plays this for hours on end. So it depends who you are I guess.
Replay Value = 5/10
Closing
In closing, I'm just going to say that this game doesn't really appeal to me. But it can still be enjoyable if you are in the target age group (4-8?). Overall, it can be an okay game, but it's just not one of the best platform games out there. Donald Duck alone is what sells this game.
::Overall = 6/10::
