"A poor Klonoa-rip off"

OK, so it may not be THAT bad. I picked this game up at Best Buy for about $15 dollars. I held off playing it for a while because I was caught up with other games, and when I finally did, I was rather disappointed...

Gameplay - The gameplay is quite basic. You play as a Klonoa-like character named Blender, who can do a spin attack with his long ears. There are several planets you explore, each having 4 or less levels, and usually a boss. Some levels have you accomplishing certain tasks, like destroying certain things, reaching the goal, or racing style events. As you go through the game, you find these little critters named ''Mini Bros'' who enhance your current abilities or give you new ones. The sad thing is, though, you'll probably have already finished the game before you even collect half of them. They evolve (sounds familiar?) through one of the 3 music CDs you let them listen to (Like Rock, Reggae, or Classical.) Each Mini bros. has their own musical preference. Another downpart, is that the game is short, and TOO EASY! That is the main reason I dislike it...First time I began to play it, I decided to wait another day before finishing the rest of the game because I was passing it too quickly.

Story - Hardly any story at all, it's the typical ''save the universe from some evil guy'' kind of story. To be more specific: Blender and the Cosmo Keepers must save the galaxy from this guy named Zooligan. The characters have very cheap names too, like Palty the pal, Catle the cat, and I could just go on, but not without mentioning the melodramatic dialogue.

Audio/Video - Graphics are cute and colorful, I thought some of the images in the intro were nice, but the sound effects tend to be rather annoying. The music is usually upbeat and cheery. Characters have a very ugly design, like the alligator, and the hero.

Replayability - There's really no big secrets hidden in this game, and the few that are, aren't worth unlocking. Once you've completed it, you're pretty much finished, and ready to put it away.

Buy or Rent - I'd say rent. Please listen to me! Save your money! But I guess younger children might enjoy this game. Bring your little brother/sister so they TOO can experience the magic. No joke.

Overall - I give it a 3/10
