"Guilty Gear X - Awesome, easy, game."

Guilty Gear X is a terrific fighter game. Although it might not be worth the purchase, it is still extremely entertaining and partially addictive. The downside is, it's extremely easy. I beat it on my first try, without dying once. And then I did the same thing on Very Hard mode. But the controls and moves make a stunning flow of movement, vibrancy, and color, and matched with good music, and interesting backgrounds, it's visually appealing. It's filled with a diverse, and interesting set of characters, like Faust..the doctor that wears a bag over his head. He has wacky moves, like opening a door against the opponent's body, and making them fly backwards. Or Dizzy, a weird half-angel/half-devil creature, who's wings are each a figure. (you'd have to see an image of her, really neat looking) There's Ky, the lightening-sworded warrior, and Sol, the fire-sworded fighter. And Baiken, the samurai chick, who closely resembles Rurouni Kenshin. There is even a random pirate girl, and a neat guy with bladed fans that he uses masterfully. One character even uses her hair as a weapon! Of course, there are alot more characters than those specified by me, but you'll have to play to find out.

Although it has 2D graphics, it gave me a sense of depth, and when I fingered in attacks, (which are all varied and exciting) the movement displayed was very well animated. It only took me about 20 minutes to beat, but there are different modes, and versus training. I have yet to play PlayStation 2's Guilty Gear X, but I'm sure they're similar.

Although, I could not get a grasp on the plot. The game was the Japanese version, and being that I don't speak, read, or write Japanese, I could not comprehend it. But that was only some of it. For some parts, it was displayed in English. This is probably because English is also a vital language in Japan, but that is just my speculation. I could read the ending paragraphs, and it seems like it has a similar plot set up as Dead or Alive 2. Every character is related in some way, yet that plot was horrid. Everyone is tied to Dizzy, the final boss, somehow.

All in all, I give this game a 9/10. Par GBA graphics, great characters, great gameplay, good music, and fun to the extreme!!! But! This game is excessively easy. You probably shouldn't buy it, but definitely rent it!
