Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul

"Yu-Gi-Oh- a great game"

This is the first Yu-Gi-Oh game for the Gameboy Advance. It was very well made. Its a much better YuGiOh game than Gameboy color version.

A simple story.. you play as a duelist and need to battle other people. In the game, you will duel Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Bakura and more characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! tv show.

You choose from 1 of 3 decks to start out. Each is made of 40 cards. Then you chose from several people to duel. You and your opponent start with 8000 life points . Whoever gets to 0 life points loses. Other ways to win are, making opponent run out of cards first and summoning Exodia.

There is several types of cards,

Monster-these cards are the main way to lower your opponent's life points. Monsters are rated with 1 or more stars. The more stars there are, the stronger it is. If its 5 stars, you need to ''tribute(sacrifice)'' a monster/monsters to get it on the field.

Magic- Cards that are used to power up monsters, destroy monsters,changes the field and more.

Trap- Cards that destroy monsters, block attacks and more.

Other notes on the game

You can have up to 10 cards on the field at a time, 5 monsters and 5 trap/magic.

Like the previous games, you can type in a password to get a certain card if you don't want to wait to earn it from a pack.

You can trade cards with the game link if you have a friend that has this game.

Better campaign mode than previous Gameboy Yugioh game. There is events on certain dates. 1 date passes each time you date. There is a calendar you can look at, to see what events are coming.

To do a fusion, you need 2 or more monsters plus a polymerization card to perform it.

For each win, you get a pack of cards. Each pack is 5 cards. This is a new feature for YuGiOh games.. its very nice.

Over 800 total cards in the game!! Many deck possibilities...

Most cards are 3 per deck, but some are 1 per deck or 2 per deck.

Why should you get this game

Its much better than previous Yu-Gi-Oh video games. You finally get more than 1 card for each win. Many cards to win and use in your deck.. Fans of the television show will love this game. If your a fan of card duel video games/card dueling games, you must pick this up!

A few downsides

You need a special card to fuse monsters. This wasn't in previous Yu-Gi-Oh video games. The sounds can get annoying at times. Thats about it.. the rest of the game is great.
