Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters

Review by A B C

"Brand new concept to Yu-Gi-Oh!"

This game is based on the episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! that were on the game Dungeon Dice Monsters. You have special dices with creatures in them with special powers. This game is a completely different than the game Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.

Gameplay: 8/10 The gameplay is okay, but not the best. This game is a complete game of luck. You have dices. You roll 3. You must successfully roll at least 2 summoning crest (stars) with the same level to summon a creature. You will not always succeed in summoning a creature. There are many kinds of creatures. Each creature has a different about of levels. The higher the level, the stronger the creature is. But the higher the level of the creature, the harder to summon. Each time you summon a creature you will get to make a path from your dungeon master. You must keep adding more paths with other creatures to reach the opponent's dungeon master. Each dungeon master has three heart points. The person that attacks the dungeon master three times and make it lose all its heart points is the winner. Also, each time you win a tournament, you get money. As you complete more tournaments, you will get more money. The more money you get, the more dices you can buy at Solomon's shop.

Graphics: 10/10 Well the graphics is just like any other Game Boy Advance games, but this one might be a little better. It is quite detailed. The creatures have distinct color differences, and when you attack, you can turn the attack scene on to see the creature attack.

Music: 8/10 The music is okay, but it's always the same so you might get use to it. To solve this problem, turn on the stereo. Problem solved!

Replayablilty: 10/10 You can replay this game many times because it is always a game of luck. If you beat the game easily the first time, it will be harder to beat the second time because you might not get the right summonings as easily. Also, when you start a new game, you always start out with different dices so you will have to play a while to get use to them.

Rent or Buy: Buy You MUST buy this game when it comes out because it will take you a lot longer than five days to beat, and if you rent it, you might feel rushed. This game is a great game and should be played slowly.

Reviewer's Score: 8/10, Originally Posted: 11/04/02, Updated 05/21/03
