"Yu-Gi-Oh fans will love this"

I am assuming that if you are reading this review, you know what you do in this game. If not, you duel with cards various people from the Yu Gi Oh TV show. This game is an almost exact replica of the real card game. If you want all the fun of the real card game for only 30 bucks, get it. On to the review...

Graphics: (8/10)
The Graphics could have been better, but they were pretty good. The cards look good and so do the characters, but the actually field is rather ugly. I was also hoping to see a more detailed look when a field card is played. This may be a bit much for the GBA, but it would have been cool if you could see the monsters fighting like in PSX's Forbidden Memories. Don't let this discourage you from buying the game though.

Sound: (9.5/10)
Great. What more can be said. The dueling music is excellent, it gets more uptight the harder the duelist is. Against easy people like Tristan and Tea Gardner it is light. The sounds for drawing a card or attacking are good too.

Gameplay: (9.5/10)
It plays like the real Yu-Gi-Oh. Every card that has an effect works just like it would in the real card game.
You can set traps, monsters, or magic cards. Whenever you win you get to choose a booster. The object is to make your opponent run out of Life Points. Two alternate ways to win are run your opponent out of cards in their deck or get all 5 pieces of the legendary ''Exodia''. This game will keep you going for a long time, with over 20 duelists. However, some cards were taken out in this game that are in the real card game. The passwords still work, and can only be used once. Some of the different people you can duel are Pegasus, Tea Gardner, Yugi's Grandpa, Joey Wheeler, Yugi Moto, Bakura Ryou, Marik Ishkar, Strings, Rare Hunter, Weevil Underwood, Mai Valentine, and Rex Raptor to name some.

Rent or buy?
Definitely buy it. It's only about 30 bucks. Besides, you get 3 cards with the game: Graceful Dice, Skull Dice, and Exchange. If you can rent GBA games, however, you may want to rent before you buy.

Overall: (9/10)
If only this game had better graphics and a wider variety of duelists and different kinds of decks this game would have netted a 10. It, however, is a solid game to follow up Dark Duel Stories.
