ZooCube

"Caffeine for the brain"
Wow, I have not written a review for a long time... well to start off, I have been looking at this game for some time now. My doubts were so high upon the game I didn't bother to buy it untill it was at about 15$ at my local bestbuy. So I pick it up and take it home, expecting my expectations of poo. I pop it in and I start playing it.... It felt literally only 15 minutes have passed, but in reality it was an hour and fourty five that slipped away. I dont think I could emphazise this enough, the game puts your more in a non tangible time zone. It is intense.
Graphics-5
There isn't much to the game, dont expect a super nicely drawn Golden Sun, or a ultra cool 3d like V rally.... the game uses simple shapes (some medium hard to identify, but that comes much later in the game) with simple colors and a plain background. That is all.
Control-9
I would have given control a 10, but there are SOME flaws. When I first started playing it took me about 4 minutes to adjust to how to move your center peice. And the game starts off slow so people can get used to it. That is great thinking ;). Buuuuut sometimes, when 5 peices are flying at me at once, it doesn't respond as fast as I would want it to. I understand it can't be too touchy or else moving it just one place over would be a real toughy to just ''tap'' it. So yea... none the less the controls are super.
Sound-5
hmm.... well other than the usual click or clang. that is about it. I just turn off the sound, put on a good cd like thrice or enya or whatever floats your boat and rock away while you get put into that zone..
Gameplay-10
There isn't much story, supposed to be that animals got out and you need to match them like a noah's arc type thing. It is all bull, they are just shapes and it is pure fun. There are ''secret'' bonus levels which sorta keep ya going, plus you can pull off high scores with a very very cool yet complex combo system which will keep you going for daaaaaays. This is a game you will never stop playing. Unlike golden sun or mario advance 2 (both which I own) the game never quits. Sure you can beat all the levels, but hahaha you won't put it down. It also supports multilink, so find another buddy with the game and grab yourself a link cable and watch the hours pass by. It deffinatly is up with tetris and chess as most fun and challenging game.
Well, that is about all I have to say for Zoocube. If your an emulator person like I am. Don't get it, it isn't nearly as fun as it is on the gba. Rent or buy? well, put it this way, if you rent it, you will buy it. There is no game better for long car rides or for just being lazy on the toilet. Just make sure you have ample time to play, or you might turn into the hulk when someone asks you to turn it off.
