Gauntlet Dark Legacy

"Repetitive Drabness Galore!"

This game is so aweful it almost pains me to review it, but I guess people need to know how horrible is this pathetic excuse for a cartridge. On to the review!!

Graphics: With the cool, new GBA you'd think the graphics would become better than the original GB for ANY game, but no, there had to be one to bring back the horridness, and it had to be Gauntlet Dark Legacy. The graphics are nlocky, not polished at all they look EXACTLY like GBC graphics. Your guy is blocky and ugly, the background is horrible, and the monsters look like they were done in half a second. I give this a 1/10

Music&Sound: Repetitiveness Galore! Its the same, boring music with no life over again, and the slashes sound absolutely not real. The music is blend, and repetitive and the sound is the same, need I say more? 1/10

Story: Did the Gauntlet series ever have a story? well, its the same as all the other stories. You have to go through all these levels to get stronger to kill this super wizard of doom. Or something close to that. Usually, your not supposed to care, because the game was fun enough but here.. 1/10 to this too!

Gameplay: Now you tell yourself..if everything else was crappy, the gameplay must be superb! Wrong. The gameplay is stiff, the keys seem to stick, and your guy moves badly, and its almost impossible to control where exactly you are hitting, and its even MORE repetitive than in the other Gauntlet games. Its also more boring because the controls are so stiff! 1.10

Replayability: Well, if you are still sane after completing a zillion levels or so of this horrid game, not only are you the bravest/stupidest man in the world, but you wouldn't want to replay it AGAIN with YET ANOTHER person that actually does attacks that do the SAME thing except it takes even LONGER to kill the stupid monsters and do it again. Except if your some sadistic person, and then god help you. 1/10

Well to conclude it all..this is bad, crappy stiff, avoid at all costs. Don't even rent it, its not even worth 5 cents. In a couple of years, this will be recognized as the worst game ever on GBA unless someone else is crazy enough to try to make something worse, and it'll get an HOTL like fan-based My rating is 1/10 and this game isn't even worth once cent of effort I put in this review.
