Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars

"Whats this? Shining force in space?"

This game is like shining force in space (that is my opinion though)! I love it! I have always wanted a really GOOD strategy game that is similar to shining force for GBA. Looks like I got what I wanted.

Graphics- Good the whole way through the game but what sets it apart from other games is that this strategy game has the anime sequences and IAS. The IAS sequences are good because it isn't just the same old boring backgrounds (land sea etc) but a new concept. They a city type background that is pretty good detail wise. Also it is good because YOU can do the aiming and YOU can do the dodging. The anime sequences are cool because they are so garsh darn detailed! They look awesome! The only minor bad thing is I think they could have spiced the IAS graphics up a tiny bit. Overall graphics get a 9/10 from me.

Sound- Ah yes the sound. Sound adds to the tension and atmosphere when playing. The game seems to always know when to add that dramatic touch. If you wear headphones the sound sounds amazing!!! The ''Promise of Reunion'' song sounds like it is professionally done! The sound in this game just seals the all ready near perfect game. No game is complete without amazing sound. Overall sound gets a 10/10 from me.

Story- I will not spoil anything just to let you know ;). The story is done very well! There are twists, dramatic parts and parts when you think someone is someone else... It is a story that makes you want to play for hours on end. It isn't like those storylines that drag on and on and never really get anywhere. This storyline keeps your attention. Overall story gets a 10/10 from me (would give more if I could!).

Overall- It is a very well made game. I would play it again and most likely will. It is a new concept...to let people aim and dodge. Yeah sure some games have perfect graphics, others have perfect sound, and yet others have perfect storylines. But when does a company get it all done right? I think that Zone of the Enders: The first of Mars gets all those almost perfect. The one thing they should have added is a multi player feature. Oh well. This game IS worth both your time and money. Overall this game gets a 10/10 from me.
