"A Great Mega Man Classic"

This is yet another great addition to the Mega Man (or Rock Man) series. Mega Man and Bass (or Rock Man and Forte) is a remake of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic. If you missed it on the SNES, now here is your chance to experience it on the Game Boy Advance.

GAMEPLAY-9/10
The gameplay on Mega Man and Bass is great. It is rather difficult for a Mega Man game, however, it remains a great game. In the beginning, you can pick from either the classic Mega Man or Bass to play as. The gameplay here, strongly resembles that of Mega Man X4.

STORY-8/10
Mega Man and Bass has a fairly well planned plot. Your mission is to defeat Dr. Wily and his evil creations. To make things more interesting, the storyline and ending changes, depending on the character you pick in the beginning. Cool, huh? The story here is nicely planned out.

CONTROLS-9/10
The controls on Mega Man and Bass are very nice and smooth. It is very easy to master within a few minutes of gameplay.

GRAPHICS/SOUND-10/10
Like almost all Game Boy Advance games, Mega Man and Bass, have wonderful graphics. Everything is very detailed and well polished. The sound is also very amusing at times. The music flows along scenes very nicely. The quality here is very nice and superb. The graphics and sound really does help you get in the mood of the game.

REPLAY VALUE-9/10
Amazingly, this game has a lot of replay value compared to the other Mega man titles. There is much you can do after you beat the game. You can always, beat it with the other character and you can try and collect all one-hundred CDs, which is quite entertaining, but very difficult. The replay value here is very nice considering it is a Mega Man game.

OVERALL-8/10
This is not an average score, however it is based mainly on the gameplay and story (the more important aspects of a great game, in my opinion). I believe this game would be a great addition to any Game Boy Advance owner. Or if you want a portable version of the original SNES version, you might want to pick this cart up. Should you rent or buy? I would say rent it and see if you like it, then buy it if you liked it. This is the safe path for this game. Rock Man and Forte has been released in Japan since August 8, 2002, which is quite a long time. The American release for Mega Man and Bass is said to be in February of 2003. Overall, Mega Man and Bass is an awesome title and should be part of any Mega Man fanatic’s or action lovers collection.
