"A good racing game that's worth your attention"

All my life, I have been a big fan of racing games. And when I saw that there was a racing game called Lego Racers 2 for the GameBoy Advance, I just had to pick it up and see if it was worthy of competing with other big racing games on the GBA.

GAMEPLAY – 7/10: This is a good game when it comes to control. The game is at a steady pace that is enjoyable for people of all ages. The game isn’t all that difficult. In my opinion, it’s really all about your skills at driving. I mean, if you’re racing and you get in first place at the very beginning, then you are pretty skilled. But if you lose it after having it the entire race, what does that say? You can still improve yourself and get better so that you can win that one race. The controls of the game are good. If you want to do something at the spur of the moment, the game will do exactly what you wanted to do. The game is very fun to play since it is racing. And with everyone’s favorite toys too: LEGO’S! And, with the ability to link up with 3 other people on GameBoy Advances, competition can get rather fierce. So on a whole, this is a good game.

STORY – 7/10: The story of Lego Racers 2 is to become the Galaxy’s greatest racer. Numerous people challenge you and if you win, you get one step closer to achieving your dream. But, isn’t that exactly the same thing for EVERY racing game?

GRAPHICS – 5/10: The graphics for this game are not the greatest in the world. But what can you expect when you are playing with Lego’s, right? I mean, yes, some of the things grab the eye and makes you look at it in awe. But for the most part, it’s pretty plain and could have been enhanced in some sort of way.

SOUND – 5/10: The sound could have been a little better as well. I mean, yeah, the roar of the engine and peeling out is wonderful for every racing game. But, the music clashed dramatically with the sound effects. A little modern music (whether it be a steady beat or something fast paced) would have added more to the game.

PLAYING TIME – 6/10: The time needed to complete this game is rather short, which is good in racing games. If you can become the greatest in very little time, then you are really good. And for a game like this, the faster you complete it, the more you can go on to other games.

REPLAY – 3/10: I’m sorry. I really like this game. But, would you really play it again if you beat it? Just like other racing games, once you’ve become the best, you’re the best. There’s nothing else to it.

CONCLUSION: The game is good. Other than the replay factor, it is a good game to get anyone; from the hardcore gamer to the elderly. Consider getting it mostly for children between the ages of 5-7, because by the time they hit 8, they’ll understand how to play more advanced games.
