"Why ninja move so slow?"

I remember my younger days of playing Ninja Gaiden on my Nintendo. It was hard for my young tender hands. I had to jump, slash, and throw those nifty ninja magic attacks. Yes, those were the good ''old skool days.'' Anyway, I like Ninjas. However, this game disappoints me.

Controls
GAH. GAH. These controls suck. I figured out how to jump, attack and move. Then I reached the hard part, going downstairs. I may seem stupid, but it took me 15 minutes to get down those stairs. I can ignore that fact. I could kill enemies quite easily and the like. But I had a major problem with moving. I move slowly. Really slow. Like, I am wearing shoes made of gum with honey and glue to the bottom of my shoes slow. Running does not help too much either because you will be jumping. The slowness of this annoyed me to no end and stopped me from playing.

Gameplay
Ok. It was not too great here either. I meet an enemy once in a while. No mass amounts of enemies assaulting me at one time. That did not make this game too fun or interesting. I guess the developers had problems with the controls and walking speed and decided to compensate with some easy AI and enemies. Once again. GAH

Graphics
Not much to say here. Not much to see either. You a blue thing with legs and arms and some pointy toothpick. Enemies are another color blob with legs and arms. With games like Tactics Ogre, Golden Sun, Metroid Fusion, the list goes on and on, I expected some decent sprites and backgrounds. These sprites look ugly as possible. Blobs of color that do not match. Backgrounds are dull. I could probably make most of them with Paint and a little time. This is average in the graphics department. BAH.

What music and sound? Nonexistent. Sounds annoyed me so I turned the volume down. BAH. HUMBUG.

Story
I usually do not pay attention to action game's storylines. I usually expect the kill this and that and move on. But since it was a ninja story, I actually listened to the intro. Once again, I was bored. Kill these five lords, blah blah, get their uber powerful weapons of doom. Save the world. That's about it. What do I have to say about it? Zzzzzzzzz....

Replay
I congratulate anyone who forces themselves to slog this atrocity they call a game. It's boring a convoluted. If you had the will power to finish this, I would be surprised if you would actually put yourself through this excoriating torture. If you completed it more than twice, I suggest you get hooked with a decent GBA game and look for help

Buy or Rent?
I would not even suggest a rent. Heck, you are wasting a good five bucks that could be spent on something worthwhile. Save it, put it in a bank, do whatever. Just stay away.

Bad Graphics + Bad Controls + No Music + No Replay = BAD GAME. Hopefully you figured that out soon enough.
