Gadget Racers

"A good game that nobody knows about..."

This is a pretty good game. Sadly, most people don't like racing games, and the ones who do, usually don't go for Game Boy Advance games. These people have no clue what they are missing.

Audio- This would get very annoying sometimes. There is only about 3 sound themes. The racing theme, the menu theme, and the theme in the introduction. They could have done a lot better with this. But sound doesn't make or break a game. The sound effects make up for the poor music. The engine sounds are nice. Each engine has its own kind of noise. Tire screeches are good. The only bad sounds are when you spin out and when you crash into something.

Graphics- For a Gameboy Advance game, the graphics are ok. Its in 3D, while some games only have the little 2D scroll thing. The cars don't have that much detail and shadowing, but what can the GBA do? The environment is alright, had a constant sky like background at the top, there are trees, rocks, different terrain. The are some objects that you cant tell what planet they originated from.

Story- This is something that cant be scored, for one simple reason. There is no story. You go around, competing in races, building your racer to get better at racing. Simple as that. You cant rate a story when there is no story.

Game play- This is pretty good. In other racing games, you get 1 preset car, then as you go along, you unlock other cars. With this game, you get 1 car, and you win races to get money, then buy parts to upgrade your car. To complete the game ''100%'', you must collect all car bodies and car custom parts.

Multi player- I cant rate this because I do not know anybody with another Gadget Racers game. The only thing I know is that you can create a bottle racer, which is a duplicate of your own racer, to compete in you friends games, which can make your friend very mad. Another bad consequence of this game being overlooked so much.

Overall- 9/10

Conclusion- This is an overall good game. If you like racing, are deaf (jk) (bad music), and can find a copy, buy it. If you cant stand bad music, don't get this. Otherwise, pick up a copy.
