Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters
Review by Metaknightmare
"Yes DugeonDice, A game to be played by all who don't mind a game with not much challenge."
Ah yes DungeonDice, a new addition to the Yu-Gi-Oh video games. It's so simple but very entertaining.
Graphics: 9/10
Sure the graphics in this game aren't the best but they're really cool. Unlike a lot of people, I liked the battle animation, but eventually I turned them off (which is an option given in the game). The board graphics are still good although it's sometimes hard to tell the difference between monsters like baby dragon and petit dragon. The dice roll looks very realistic and the card animation is very cool.
Game play: 9/10
This is what makes the game so great. You roll dice to summon monsters, make a path on a 19X13 grid board, move the monsters, make them attack, defend, and make them use special magical abilities. You can also use items which you need to summon just like the monsters. To win, you must take out the 3 Heart Points of your opponent's ''Die Monster''. (A monster that represents the player but cannot move or do anything else than stand there) The reason I took a point out of the score is because the computer is so easy to trick and beat.
Controls: 10/10
The controls are so easy to learn! The D-Pad to move, the A button to accept, B to Cancel, Left Shoulder pad to check a monster's statistics, Right Shoulder pad to switch between monsters. While Dimensioning the dice you use the same buttons but for different functions: A, B, Left shoulder Pad, and the D-Pad do the same things but Start and Select are used to change the shape of the dice and R Shoulder Pad is used to rotate the dice.
Replay Value: 10/10
Even if you finish all the tournaments the game has, you still have to find all the characters in Free Duel and to get every single Dice in the Game. After that you still have to make the Ultimate Dice Pool. You can also duel with your friends for extra replay value.
Overall: 9/10
This is a very fun game, it's simple yet, it can amuse you for hours. The real Challenge is to get all characters and Dice in the game. A single duel can take you 5-20 minutes which means that it's better to play when you have some free time.
Buy or Rent:
If the fact that the duels aren't very hard bother you, than just rent it. But if it doesn't than this is the game for you! Buy it... NOW!
