"This game is not good at all !!!"

First off this game is a vast improvement over the 2002 version, however it still falls very short of a great game.

My first major problem is the fact that the clock stops after every single play. There is no trying to beat the clock, there is no trying to wear down the clock, this really stinks!
Problem 2 is even though I can beat the games easily, you really can't run the ball. They give you several options to run the ball such as spin or dive, but all in all as soon as you get the ball, you are going to be tackled.
Problem 3 NO BATTERY SAVE!!! You have to write down passwords to continue a game. How handy is that!

Graphics 8

For gba they really aren't bad. I really don't like the screen perspective, it makes it hard to see whats going on. I'm still waiting for that beautiful port of Super Tecmo Bowl. It really was the ultimate football game with the broadcast side field perspective. The characters in this game aren't terrible but could have been given a hair more detail.

Sound 5

The musical score in this game is terrible, however the sound affects and voice are top notch, so this game gets an average score of 5.

Replay value 2

I find no want to go back and play this game it isn't near as easy as the 2002 which is a major plus but it still doesn't have what I consider a good platform.

Buy or Rent

I found this game for a whopping 9.99 at circuit city, and to be completely honest, I do not know if I would repeat that. I considered taking it to the local trade in shop to see if they would give me a few bucks for it. I have tried playing through a whole season, but the quarters on the game are 30 sec 60 sec or 3 min. The first two are way too short and with the clock stopping after each play the 3 min seems to take an eternity to play. I wish I had held out for the madden 2003 instead. So to try to wrap this up I guess don't buy or rent this game, borrow this game from a friend if you can or if you absolutely insist I suppose buy it if you find it for 10 bucks or less, but I honestly would feel really ripped off if I had paid more than 9.99 for this game.
