"Very wonderful."

Review: Breath of Fire 2 (GBA)

Intro:
I never did play this game on the SNES, unfortunately. I had read up on this game a lot knowing it was a SNES rpg, so i knew i had to buy it just for that fact. Just buying a game cause its a RPG from the SNES is kinda funny, but when 80% of the RPGs on a system are all great, that shows something to the system doesnt it?

Gameplay:
Gameplay is always a feature for a RPG that has to be extremly well thought-out or else it wont be good. Well capcom really did well for bof2, thats for sure. The gameplay at times did get repetitivly boring, but you cant expect that to not happen. Other then that, the gamelay was great, and i like games that auto-run cause i am lazy and usually dont hold down like R or L or something to run, great for me. I liked the variety of game details the game had. It was well made and i liked it, definately a high note of the game.

Gameplay: 10/10

Story:
The story is very unique, and considering you are pretty confused as to exactly what purpose you have throughout most of the game, the story is rather nice. Ryu is a great character, and all the others you meet while playing are great, the story behind them, the way you meet them, all of it. Not many shocking parts in the story, which was a downside, but the story was worth playing the game for.

Story: 9/10

Graphics:
The graphics are good considering it was an SNES game and now only on the GBA which doesnt have that many great graphics they can use anyways. But i think when the game came out for the SNES these graphics were up to spar, and now, for the GBA they are just as good. Least the graphics were able to be seen, not too small and such.

Graphics: 9.01/10

Sound:
The sound is great. I love the town music, the battle music, the vast variety of music they play during the game is amazing. I think that the music could not have matched the mood of times, towns, whatnot any better then they did. I love when the game is showing the title, the music that is played, i actually, while in school and playing would listen to that over and over while the teacher went on about sumthing i didnt really care for..twas great.

Sound: 9.34/10

Replay Factor:
The game, like most RPGs really cant be replayed too many times, it can be nice though to replay at like school, but yea, the replay of this game is not exactly what many would choose to do. I myself replayed it 3 times, but i know that the game is repetitive at times even the second time around.

Replay Factor: 4/10

Overall:
Overall, this game is one of the great titles from the SNES to be remade for the GBA, i love that it was remade cause its hard to find the games for SNES. Im really glad i decided to buy it too, cause i did spend about 50 hours on the game, the first time anyways, altogether i probally spent about 150+ hours just messing around and playing the game and such. I recommend the game to all and any RPG fanatics or just plain fans. If you need a good game for the GBA to pass time, or to get through school..GET THIS.

Overall: 9/10
