Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel

Review by Rollo T

"A good game but a few flaws."

Game play: Did you play Eternal Duelist Soul? If so then you know what the game play is like. There are a few differences though, instead of just choosing your opponent, you must find them, then challenge them. Aside from that, no big improvements in the game play division. As for problems, glitches. Some cards special effects don't work correctly, your opponent may use a limited card but ''Magically'' get it again. Then there are the more helpful glitches like the one where you'll just get some cards for no reason. But pretty much the same game play as Eternal Duelist Soul.

Overall: 7/10

Audio/Video: Music is those annoying little bleeps and bloops that you listen to and eventually hum along to. In short, Eternal Duelist Soul. Graphics... how to put this? ETERNAL DUELIST SOUL! This game is like an expansion pack of Eternal Duelist Soul. Not saying the graphics are bad though, they're not, they're good for the GBA. But, they still could have been better.

Overall: 6/10

Replay: This is where World Wide Edition becomes it's own game. Because World Wide Edition is basically an expansion pack, it has more cards, and more things to do then Eternal Duelist Soul. You'll find yourself making deck after deck of cards to try and find your deck. Since they're more cards, duelists, and things to do in this game, you'll keep coming back. At least until the next game.

Overall: 9/10

Rent or Buy: It really depends. If you collect the cards, and you have some you want to use in your deck in Eternal Duelist Soul, but they're too new, World Wide Edition most likely can use them. But if you bought Eternal Duelist Soul just to play the game, you might want to wait a while before going out and spending like $20. Remember World Wide Edition is almost completely the same as Eternal Duelist Soul.

Rent or Buy: Think about Buying

Overall: Ok if you are having trouble understanding, I'll say it again, World Wide Edition is basically an expansion pack for Eternal Duelist Soul. It isn't an expansion pack, it's its own game. But barley. Although World Wide Edition is very similar to Eternal Duelist Soul, it isn't a bad game. Why else would I give it an 8? Just because World Wide Edition is almost completely the same as Eternal Duelist Soul doesn't mean it's bad. The graphics, music, and game play are all very good, but they all could be better.

Overall: 8/10
