"Another RPG Game... You Might Want To BUY This One..."

This game is sorta like a Legend of Zelda meets Pokemon and Golden Sun, with a tad bit of cursing. (Yeah, this game DOES curse!) But, it's not anything real bad. The ''language'' is sorta equivalent to a PG movie. One thing that this game DOESN'T resemble to Golden Sun is Golden Sun's character speaking... (If you don't know what it sounds like, imagine a younger sibiling that's singing a song that you don't like, deepen that voice, and put it on a GBA, and you're there!) This game is a fairly all-around good RPG.

Gameplay : 8/10
Pretty much self explanatory. The only thing about this game that I find weird is the lack of an Options Menu. So, that means you can't change any of its settings or change the controls or any of that sort. But, it's no big deal. The L and R buttons are NOT used in this game. And... to skip text REALLY fast, press the B button.

Story : 10/10
Well... it's a typical story about this kid named Alex, who goes off on a quest to become a Dragonmaster. And then..... the story slowly, but surely changes into a ''save the world'' kinda plot. I can't really say much more, or else it would be pointless of you to buy the game.... The reason why I gave it such a high score is due to the plot twists. But then again, I never have played the other Lunar games, so I won't be able to tell if this game is better or simply a remake or worse....

Value : 8/10
You've got your ''trading'' cards and you've got your photo galleries in the game. So that means this game can utilize the GBA Link feature. The story is pretty long, and decent size for an RPG so don't be worried about the actual game play time.

Audio/Video : 8/10
Crisp sound effects. Great music. MOST of the time. But, the battle music can be just as annoying as that Pokeman game... The battle music for the most part, doesn't vary, UNLESS you're in a boss battle. Then, you've got a different battle music... The sound effects vary greatly, and for the most part, can be heard clearly. But sometimes, the sound effects are ''masked'' due to the high pitch of the background battle music.

Replayability : 7/10
Average replay value. You got your cards and the ''hidden'' photo gallery thing, so IF you're NOT using a walkthrough, this can take awhile.

To buy or to rent? : 7/10
If you rent the game, it's a pretty good idea. Because, after you complete the game, there isn't much to do, other than completing the trading card collection in the game and the secret photo galley.
But, if you're one of those ''100% in every single game that I play'' type of gamer, this game is a pretty good buy. All in all, I think you should buy, but if you're ALWAYS low on cash, rent!

Final Rating : 8/10
If you've read my other reviews, you know that an 8 is pretty high. This game is relatively easy, but if you don't remember to level up near the end, you're in big trouble!
