"Oh it could've been better, it's true, it's true."

Without further ado, I present to you my review of WWE Road to wrestle mania X8. One of the better, yet slightly disapointing wrestling games out on the Gameboy Advance. An improvement over the first road to wrestle mania , but not as great as Fire Pro Wrestling. Will this WWE game win the world heavyweight title or crap out a loser.

Graphics: 8/10
I like this ''paper doll'' graphics rather than the cartoon like graphics in the first road to wrestle mania. The graphics are pretty fluid and detailed. Like you can see R-V-D's name on his singlet or like Kurt Angle's big red A on his suit. The action never slows down. Yet the wrestler look like zombies when they walk.

Presentation:6/10
A major flaw in this game. There's only 15 wrestlers. Wrestlers like The rock, R-V-D, the undertaker and more. But they could've added more. They should've add people like Chris Benoit, Brock Lesnar, or maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin. The entrances are pretty lame. The number of gimmick matches, make up for the flaws though. Matches like hardcore, cage, elimination, and more.

Sound: 6/10
As said earlier, with a crummy entrance, you get low quality entrance themes. Yet some of them work. You can hear the ''If you smell what the rock, is cooking'' part in the rock's theme or the ''Dead man walking'' sound bite in Taker's theme. A weird thing is when you land on the mat, it sounds like a small explosion.

Game play:8/10
If your familiar with the Grappling system in Def jam Vendetta, it'll be no problem here. However be warned of a slight learning curve. The Grappling system is pretty deep. The action is pretty fast. But some matches like a royal rumble are kind of a put down (only one wrestler comes out at a time!) There are plenty of signature moves and finishers here, and look pretty accurate. Like Kurt Angle's Ankle lock or Triple H's Pedigree.

Replay value:7/10
Plenty of mode you can play here. Modes like Champion
-ship mode where you race in the title hunt or Pay per view mode, where you make your own matches and see if Vince McMahon approves. There is a multi player mode in here ,too. The game is fun, but once you beat all the modes, will you still play it?

Pros:
-Cool graphics
-Tight game play
-Bunch of matches
-Cool and accurate Finishers

Cons:
-Slight learning curve
-Not enough wrestlers
-Lame entrances and themes.
-Somewhat short.
-Some Wrestlers walk like Zombies

Final score: 7/10

If you liked this game: try Fire Pro Wrestling 1 or 2
