Robotech: The Macross Saga

"This is one awesome game!!!"

I think this game is very fun and addictive, and its taking time away from Pokemon Ruby. In this review I'm going to tell you why I believe what I'm saying.

Graphics-10
These are great graphics for a GBA game. These graphics are one of the things about side-scrolling shooters. I've been playing over and over everyday since I got it trying to move forward and everyday I notice something new like how the ship, when you turn it is fully visable and how the mech you use is very detailed. I am very impressed.

Sound-8
Its sound is awesome but some of its music isn't good. That is the only reason it got an 8. It impressed me when i played. Like I said, having bad music on the title screen doesn't help, but just wait till you get inside the game.

Gameplay-10
It's controls are easy, I mean, It uses all the buttons yet it does it easy. There aren't any combos and very little change of controls for each form. I believe that is the beauty of this game. It has very little controls but it still gives many options with them. Like the classic plane move of looping so you go in back of your enemy. It definitly is addicting. Also the fact you can battle people and play through the game together makes it a definite buy. Plus it supports 5 files, that is 5 happy friends, come on.

Difficulty-10
Its a very difficult game on normal. I believe this game is extremely addictive and difficult. The reason I mentioned how addictive it is in Gameplay and Difficulty is that they both play a key role in it. It is just difficult enough so you slowly get through the game. It will consume your time trying to beat it with 5 pilots and then all 6 unlockable ones. Then going on to Hard.

Rating-9.5
Its a 9.5 from the sound, but you know what. $10 for a game that gets a 9.5 is awesome. I recommend you do get it. I really hope you do, so maybe we can battle each other or maybe help each other. I sure hope you get it soon, I mean, you probably have $10 in your pocket. I would run to Toys R Us today, I know you may feel stupid going in there but it's worth it. Good luck beating this game.
