Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II

Last year when Dragon ball Z: Legacy of Goku came out for the GBA, millions of fans were disappointed that such a great game was a FLOP. Now a year later, something comes to wipe the tears from all those fans eyes. Get ready! DRAGON BALL Z: LEGACY OF GOKU 2 is here!!!

Gameplay: 10/10
This is where the game shines. You play the game almost like in the show, with a few twists to make it fun. The game starts off where LOG ends. We go through the Trunks, Androids, and Cell sagas. You get to play as Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and Piccolo. You raise your characters up and go through the storylines. HUGE Upgrade since LOG.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in LOG2 are a notch up since LOG. The FMV in the beginning of the game is sharp, and looks just like you would see it on T.V. The characters look very detailed for a GBA game. When flying on the world map, the 3D look is outstanding. Very nice work for ATARI in this section.

Music: 9/10
The music is everything and more. Almost all the music is taken straight from the show and remixed a little to add some flavor to the mix. The title screen has a great DBZ theme to it while the in-game music gives you the feeling your watching the show. Great job in this department.

Sound: 8/10
The sounds are good, a little away from great. When you go Super Saiyan, the aura sound from the show is heard. When you shoot a Ki Blast, its taken from the show. Only gripe I have about this is in LOG when Goku fired his Kamehameha, he yelled KAMEHAMEHA!!! This is no where to be found in this game.

Fun Factor: 9/10
Legacy of Goku 2 will last you a long long time. It may not be the longest RPG game, but it gets the job done. If your a DBZ fan, you'll love this game, If your an RPG fan or everyone else, It's a great game .

Buy/Rent?
DBZ Fans, this game is a must buy. If you don't have GBA, then get it and buy this game. Everyone else, I know you might be scared to throw $30 on the table and buy this because of Legacy of Goku(1) but trust me, ATARI went a whole other direction with this one. Rent it and if you like it, buy it.
