Review by Xander to Faith

"The best DBZ game to date!"

The first Legacy of Goku game was faithful to the show, but the game was short and left much room for improvement. A little over a year later the next installment is here and it addresses most of the problems of the first game. If you are a DBZ fan you need to get this game because it is the best DBZ game ever.

Graphics: 9
Everything lives and breaths the DBZ universe in this game. The characters look just like their TV counterparts even more than they did in the last game. Also the environments have a lot more detail with even more references to the show than the last game. The graphics are beautiful and faithful to the show.

Sound: 10
Yet again the impossible has been done, they have put sound in from the TV show. The music and sound isn't 100% as good sounding as it is on TV, but you have to remember that this is Game Boy and it is exceptional for Game Boy. The music and sound that isn't from the show sounds fine without any really bad noises.

Control: 8
The control is definitely a step up from the last game and it makes the game much more fun to play. Now your character doesn't move at .00000001 miles per hour because they have implemented the ability to run in this game. Also collision detection has been vastly improved in this game. Instead of running into enemies to land a punch, you can actually hit them from a safe enough distance. Overall everything controls much better, with just a few things to tweak to perfection in the next game.

Story: 10
This game actually tells you the story from the TV show instead of assuming you know the story. The game starts off in the alternate dimension where everyone has been killed aside from Trunks and Gohan by Androids 18 & 17. Soon after Gohan is killed the game is switched to the dimension where the show takes place. The story is from the TV show's Android saga to the end of the Cell saga. This time if you don't know the DBZ story, you can know what is going on in the game.

Life Span: 10
This game is much longer than the last game. I've played this game the amount of time that it took me to finish the first game and I haven't even begun to fight the Androids. This game will probably take at least 20 hours if not more, which is a good thing when compared to the last game.

If you are a DBZ fan you need to get this game. Everyone else should buy it also because I think that they will like it.
