"Gran Turismo for the Gameboy Advanced"

This game is by far the best racing game I have ever played on the Gameboy Advanced, even better then F-Zero, and I will take that to the grave with me. But, sadly, this game was VERY over-looked. This game is just like the smash hit Gran Turismo 1, 2, and 3 for the Playstation and Playstation 2. But, it never got the attention that it deserved so not many people knew about it. This is how I would rate this game:

GRAPHICS: 9

The Mode 7 graphics are a little old, but they look the best in this game. And the backgrounds look great, too.

SOUND: 5

This is where the game could have improved. The music sounded like it was from NES and the sound effects weren't all that great. The only real sound effect that was good was the horn from the cars.

GAMEPLAY: 10

This game had great controls. The cars drove and felt great. This game never slowed down like most Mode 7 games do. And you can even adjust the steering and drive type (manual or automatic) with some of the many customizable parts. This game really excels here.

FUN: 10

This is the best racing game on the Gameboy Advanced out there folks. Over 40 different cars to collect, over 100 parts to make your car any way you want it to be, and the game is all-around fun to play. I bought this game last year and I still play it, even to this day. And the battle modes and multi player really makes this game fun.

LASTING APPEAL: 10

This game has so much to do even when you beat it. You can collect every part, play races with computer cars, play a mulit-link race with up to 4 different people, and play through the game again. With a lot of games playing through it again doesn't seem fun, but with this game it really is. I thought that this was the best Gameboy Advance racer out there, and I still do.

CONCLUSION:

The reason why I think that not many people played this game was because of bad marketing and it seemed kinda kiddie. But if you really look past the kiddie part, you will find a fantastic racer that you will be happy with for a long time.

I really recommend this racing game to anyone. But make sure that you have friends to verse in this game. If you don't, bump down the lasting appeal score to 7. But, I'm sure that you have friends, don't you?
