Custom Robo GX
Review by ur grandpa
"Good Graphics great game play what more could you ask for?"
Introduction
Custom Robo GX is a very interesting game. In it you control small robots that range from 8-12 inches and compete in tournaments. You start out with one decently equipped custom robo. The basic goal of the game is to compete in tournaments to get money and be eligible to be in better tournaments to prove you are the best custom Robo controller.
Plot
Well since this game hasn’t been released in the US there isn’t much known about the plot. From what I know you compete in tournaments and that’s about it. I’ve heard the plot is actually quite good but for the time being I don’t really know so I’m not going to rate this.
Graphics 7/10
The graphics in this game are pretty good. The only beef I have is that some of the weapons when fired don’t look all that good. I’d like to see a bullet instead of a green line.
Game play 9/10
That’s what this game is all about. The game play is great. It is very fun. In it you mostly just move around up down side to side trying to hit your opponent while trying to dodge his attacks. One of the things I really like is how skill matters a lot and you could probably get through the first 3 to 5 tournaments without any changes to your original custom Robo if you really try. Also the custom Robos are highly customizable making and sometimes there isn’t a plain and simple better part. There are gun parts that are really powerful but may be hard to hit and others that fire multiple shoots at fast speeds but aren’t very powerful making for little damage. So it's really about customizing it to fit your playing style or for more advanced players your complex situation.
Replay Value 7/10
This games best asset is its fun. The fun can last quite awhile. You can go back and collect all the parts but most parts all you have to do to acquire is buy them. Although there are some tournaments where I have gotten items afterwards unlike some games you aren’t ranked depending on how fast it was completed or anything as far as I can tell the only thing that really matters in a tournament is whether or not you actually finished it. It's really nothing ''like catching them all'' so I don't imagine you will have too much trouble.
Overall 9/10
The only thing about this game I don't like is it's never been released in the US. Nor any other game in the series. There may be one on its way for the Game Cube but that’s not this one.
