Review by SomaCruz

"A good game, but that's all."

This game was pretty average, if you ask me. They said they were going to try and make it this game so it wouldn't have as much collecting as Banjo Tooie.
Rare lies.
This game is all about collecting. Collecting notes (to learn techniques), Jiggies (to open worlds) and Jinjos (to get Jiggies), plus other items that are world specific.
All in all, this game is generic.

Graphics: 8/10
These graphics are very nice, very nice indeed. My main complaint is the lack of enemy graphics varities. Most are recolors of others, which leads into the gameplay part of this review. Anyways, the graphics are very nice 2D renditions of the models used in the N64 games. They animate well, and I can't complain. The enviroments are nice too.

Sound: 6/10
This sounds just like the N64 games, except the music lacks the quality of the N64 games. The voices (meh, if you can call them that) are generic, bland, and annoying.
You can't believe how annoying it is to hear Bozzeye's annoying voice while you're talking to him.
The Jinjos, how I LOATHE their annoying ''Help!'' and whistles. They suck and they annoy the hell out of me.
If I was rating this game on just the Jinjos, this would get a 2.

Gameplay: (the saver and the killer) 7/10
The gameplay is fun and easy to learn. The moves are executed very quickly, giving you the option to use them at a whim. However, having to learn EVERY individual move, including Banjo's pack whack (stupid forgetful bear), is a humongous turn off that leads to collecting of many notes.
Also, the enemies lack variety. There are two bosses in the game. Klungo and Mecha-Grunty. You may fight them more than once, but they're all there is. In the words of Homer Simpson: Is that allllll there is? Also, the enemies themselves are all very similar. The Mumbo Jumbo transformations are quite bland, but sort of funny... I won't spoil it.
Otherwise, the gameplay isn't bad. Bland, too much collecting, but easy to play, make it somewhat good.

Story: (bleh!) 2/10
Bland, heard it before, stupid. Kidnapping of friend, back in time, go find friend, blah, blah, blah, ha ha ha, I am evil badguy who rhymes.
End sarcasm.... now!

Replay Value: 3/10
Once you beat it, you won't want to play it again. Once you finish the game completely, you might as well sell it. Finding everything takes not much time, and once you figure out where everything is, it's not worth playing again.

Well, that's my two cents. Here, eight cents, now it's ten cents
