Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge
Review by loyalNESgamer
"Not your average Bear, but he gets the job done!"
This game is not what it seems. If your used to the N64 Banjo Kazooie games, this game is not one of them. It's still great never the less! I'm a huge Banjo Kazooie fan, so I HAD to pick this up. And I was not that disapointed in it. So let's look at it shall we.
Story - 8
This game takes between Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie. After you kicked Grunty's behind in the last game, she's still under a boulder where one day, Klungo makes a robotic form of Grunty and she uses her magic to possess the robot. She then thinks of a great idea to capture Kazooie and take her back in time, before Banjo and Kazooie met to defeat Grunty. Then Banjo goes back in time to defeat Grunty and too save Kazooie! It's a pretty good story, not THAT original, but it gets the job done! Who cares about the story anyways, let's get to the game.
Gameplay - 10
This games is really fun too play. You have the basic moves from the other games and you still have the eggs plus a new kind of egg, The Battery Egg! It's an electric egg that gives enemy's a shock! They only thing I miss is flying. You can't fly in this game, but I'll live. You still collect Jinjos, notes, honey combs and mumbo tokens. Mumbo transforms you into 4 new transformations! I'm not gonna tell, just look in the manual and then you'll find out!
WARNING! Here is where I list why this game is so different than the others! This game, unless it's processors is a fast pace moving game. It can be easily beaten within 4-5 hours. The only Bosses in each area that you see are either Klungo or Grunty. Also the mini games are alittle easy, but fun.
Graphics - 10
Spectacular! The graphics are the best on the GBA hands down! You won't be dissapointed with these graphics. RARE gave this game a Banjo Kazooie look that fits.
Sound - 9
The sound is great in this game! The characters have their sam goofy voices. But my only complaint is that some times when a character does something, a sound doesn't go with it. But it's a minor problem.
Controls - 10
Easy and simple too use. No complaints here.

This game gets a 10! It still has the fun Banjo Kazooie atmosphere that this game needed in order for it be be fun for me. Plus, who can resist kicking Grunty's behind a 3rd time...oh....I....mean.....2nd.
Difficulty Meter

This games gets a 5. Average. In the begining it's very simple, but as you progress, it gets alittle more harder. Plus finding your way from place to place can be confusing at times.
Overall - 10
RARE hasn't dissapointed me with a Banjo Kazooie game yet. And they still haven't. I'm glad it finally came out and it's worth $30.00 any day!
Conclusion
Some may same 3rd times a charm, but this doesn't apply to Grunty in this game. Banjo + Kazooie = Instant witch kicking duo!
So why are you reading this? Get the game and start gaming!
