Mega Man Zero 2
Review by XxXRPGFREAKXxX
"This game rocks!... but it has some flaws"
The Mega man Zero series is the evil experiment of the Mega Man collection, It's revolved, it's different, it's very hard and it secretly hates you.
The first Mega Man Zero games was a great title that was nearly destroyed by a few frustrating flaws. But the second Mega Man Zero games improves on those flaws in several ways.
First off, you no longer need to worry about ''permanent failure''. What I mean by this is that in the first game you got three continues, and when you used all of them the game was over for good. Not exactly pleasing to some fans of the Mega Man series. Especially me, I was very Mad and upset at this rule. Another flaw was that if you screwed up a mission, you failed it for good and it is gone. Yet another frustrating flaw in the game. However in Mega Man Zero 2 the stages are still among the insane difficulty that you might play in a Mega Man game. However you will never have to worry about failing the mission, you have unlimited continues... Well more like lives, when the lives are all used up game over, but you can still retry the stage again. Unlike the first game where you only got one try on a mission. Some new cool features to the game are the new weapons. Like the Chain Rod ( A personal favorite to me ) Which serves as a grappling hook, you can attach it to the roof and swing over your enemy and attack him from behind! A very useful weapon indeed! The second new weapon is the Shield Boomerang, yeah it does exactly what it sounds like.
Well here is a quick review on the second games presentation.
Graphics 10/10
The graphics are stunningly amazing, nice colorful and well detailed backrounds and bad ass looking bosses make this game a beauty to look at.
Controls 10/10
The controls in this game are like any other Mega Man game, Run, Dash, Jump up walls, blow the living crap out of enemies and avoid hazards. They are very simple controls and a beginner should have no sweat mastering these controls.
Sound 10/10
The sound is great, really nothing to complain about. It suits the game perfectly.
Replayability 10/10
Like all Mega Man games this one can be finished several times without getting boring, You can even try to challenge yourself to getting an S rank ( Which is pretty damn hard ) in every level. But hey it provides one heck of a challenge so it has great Replay Value
Overall
This is a great game which makes up for the first one. It's fun, has great replay value, has awesome graphics and provides a great challenge. Its a great game that all Mega Man fans should own. So get off this chair and go buy this game! It will not disappoint! Note - the only reason this review got a 8/10 is cause of it's difficulty, This game is not for everyone,it's insanely hard and very demanding but it is a lot of fun, a lot more fun than the original that's for sure. So those who have what it takes try this game it will provide you with a great challenge I guarantee it. Besides the difficulty it is an incredible game. So with nothing else to say but...HAPPY GAMING
