"Not as good as the hit movie"

After seeing Brother Bear to a packed house,I instantly became a fan and wanted this game as soon as I heard of it. I got it right when it came out and played it. The movie itself made no.2 in the box office on opening week,,and I'm glad it did. Bravo Disney. Great movie, great visuals, great everything. And who can go wrong with those hilarious moose brothers,And now, here is my humble review on Disney's box office hit,Brother Bear.

GAMEPLAY-The gameplay in this is VERY simple. And a little boring. In fact, think of the first Mario Bros, only with a bit more features like pushing, attacking, and climbing ledges. It's almost similar to SNES' The Lion King.

STORY-The story, just like the movie, focuses on Kenai, youngest brother of Sitka and Denahi. Sitka gets killed trying to save the brothers from a bear protecting her cub. Kenai goes after it to avenge his brother, and Denahi soon follows him. After killing the bear,Sitka arrives from the Northern Lights, home of the Great Spirits, and transfroms Kenai into a bear. Denahi arrives and see the bear, and, thinking it killed Kenai, ventures forth and tries to hunt him down. Kenai, after meeting Rutt and Tuke, slowly befriends a cub named Koda(''say it with me,KO-DA''),who turns out lost his mom,who was the bear Kenai killed. They travel to the Salmon Run,also by which is the mountain that's home to where ''the lights touch the earth'',where Tanana, the village shawoman, tells Kenai that's where Sitka will help Kenai make amends. The game plays similar to the movie, although different on some levels(like soon Rutt and Tuke in the Ice Cave level and what not).

GRAPHICS-The graphics for this game were pretty good. The only amazing thing about the game, really. Loved the little movie clips and the stages were lush and colorful. It also showed still clips from the movie in between certain levels.

REPLAYABILITY-This right here is the sad part. The game has what seems like a lot of levels. But they're pretty easy. Your goal is to collect different colored totems for each sub-level within that level, and if you get them all,you advance to bonus games and what not. The bonus games are OK,but get tedious after a while. There are alos Mammoth Rides to unlock, which help you progress to the next path right away. You'll be finished with this in a day or two. Depending if you play it straight through or not.

OVERALL-For the sake of the movie set to be a Disney classic, and the fact that it did very well in the box office so far and made me a fan,I gave this an 8/10. Would've been higher had it been more challenging. Get the Brother Bear PC game instead.
