"Best strategy RPG on the GBA so far!"

When I first heard of Onimusha Tactics I was so happy that Capcom would be going into the strategy RPG genre and was it ever a good decision because we get presented with one of the best strategy RPGs.

Lets first start with the sound, simply awesome. Usually I will turn the sound off on a game especially if it's a Game Boy Advance game but not this one the tunes had me whistling them days after I stopped playing it
and never got repetitive.

The second best part of OT is the graphics. They did a absolutly phenomenom job on it, the sprites are nicely done and the animations are awesome plus the face portraits are great for each character and that persons personality goes perfect with there faces.

The story wasn't great but it was nothing to get upset about either it has a serious storyline with a little bit of humor added into it and what the characters say is somthing that your everyday person would say.

There is somthing that made me a little mad about this game and it's that you get about 30 characters that are all the same, you can't change classes like other strategy RPG games which is a really big let down but each character has there own unique skills that no on else will get and they learn them at diffrent levels or after somthing 'special' happens on a episode. Another really really bad thing is that there is no item shops or weapon shops you have to make weapons and equipment out of Genma Stones that Genma enemies drop. Not a very nice thing but oh well.

If you played one of the original Onimusha's on the Playstation 2 then you would know about 'enhancing' your weapons and other equipment well you can do that in this one as well, you can enhance certain weapons and armor to make them stronger but they can only be 'enhanced' a certain number of times and you need enough souls to enhance it. I liked this feature alot and it adds alot of customization to the game.

To compare this game to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or Tactics Ogre it's very easy to pick Onimusha Tactics over both of them.

Overall OT was simply awesome nice crisp graphics, beautiful music and a ok storyline and there is only 2 things wrong with it. WOW! I suggest you buy this game or borrow it from a freind because with 45 episodes and the Shadow Realm to complete it may take a little longer then expected to complete.

The Good
Nice deep storyline
Great graphics and animations
Beautiful music and sound effects
Lots of diffrent enemies
Lots of characters
Serious but humorous storyline

The Bad
No class changes
No equipment shops
