"Not what I expected."

I happen to be a huge fan of the beyblade anime and I recently got a chance to go to my local gamestop to buy this game.Boy do I wish I would have bought something else, here is my review of Beyblade Ultimate Blader Jam

Gameplay-The gameplay is extremly simple.A child could master this game with ease. You move your little blade around and occasionaly switch blades, when your character changes. To bad theres no character select screen!Occasionally when you move up to the next chapter you switch characters and the blades change as well. You move with the D-Pad and the objective can vary from either defeating a certain blade or by succesfully going through a stage and on to the little checkerdboard spot.as you advance in the game the levels get a lot harder, but not past the point where you can't beat them at all.You also have a special meter whichyou can fill by either getting a perfect launch when you start the stage or by defeating a lot of enemies and filling it up you release you bit-beast by hitting L,but you have to be close to the opponent.Basicly you bump your enemy until it stops spinning or you can knock it off the stage.

Graphics-Crap!!!!!!!!!!!The stages all look the same, they are checkerdboard stages all over with an occasional color change and theres sky in the background.Everytime I play the game the graphics give me a headache out of this world. When you release your bit-beast instaead of seeing a little sprite of the bit-beast yo get a lot of blinking colors that vary if you have a different blade. The blade breaker blades look nice and at least they have there blade colors.

Sound-The music can get tireing and bland after a while of listening to it.Look at the bright side though they have that catchy theme song for this game, everything else is well not that good. You can hear your blade bounce around which is a plus, but not enough to please me.You also can hear the clashing of bades when to hit each other which is pretty tight.

Story-Same story form the anime Beyblade V-Force.After winning the championshp the bladebreakers get confronted by mysterious bladers who kick everyone of their butts with the exception of Kai(He had a draw),they try to find out the indentity of the mysterious bladers.Meanwhile a crime organization lead by a man named Gideon wants to collect data on their bit-beasts and make cyber replicas of them which are in a way clones, but a lot more powerful and look cooler, but they are not undefeatable. After working all the bugs out of the cyber bit-beats the Gideon had problems finding the perfect bladers to fit each cyber bit-beast.You see they require a mentally strong and physically strong host body or else thy'll completly drive the blader insane and they
I'll pass out or just start acting really evil.Gideon finally finds the perfect bladers which are Kain/Kane,Mariam,Gouki,and I forgot the other bladers name. They challenge the blade breakers in a battle tower and as always the blade breakers pull through, with the help of the mysterios bladers now identified as Team Sanchio/Saint Shields(Or something like that)

Replayability-Well if you feel like collecting all the bit-beasts be my guest, but I would definetly not.You can also battle with your friends and U think you can make a blade.

Buy or Rent?-Neither unlesss you are a die hard fan of the series you might want to stray away from this title.I'll rent beyblade for GCN and hopefully it is better than this trash.
