"Sonic Battle...the Sonic series just keeps getting BETTER AND BETTER!!!"

Sonic Battle is an excellent game, and, in my opinion, it's better than Sonic Championship. Why, prey tell, do you ask? Well, if you really must know...

Story: 9/10
If this was supposed to be an action game, I would give this a negative 32, but this is a fighting game. They really nailed the story this time. It has a descent plot and great humor, which you don't normally see in the genre of fighting. This game isn't just about pointless fighting like some other games, but it actually has a purpose; Sonic and friends are trying to get a robot, Emerl, back to normal by collecting all of the seven chaos emeralds. Dr. Robotnik, A.K.A. Eggman, is trying to prevent this. It will be a tough battle, but nothing Sonic can't handle! Of course, he'll have to learn the new style of gameplay!

Gameplay: 10/10
The controls are so easy to use that a five-year-old could figure them out. Sometimes, it is hard to strike the opponent due to the restrictions, but it just makes the game more challenging. There are plenty of button combos to do, which will ''force'' you to keep playing until you've learned them all. Plus, the graphics will make you ''go out on a loop'' when you try to maneuver your way around this baby.

Graphics: 14/10
These graphics are, like, WOW!!! The adventure part, in my opinion, isn't up to standards, but the battle scenes: priceless. There is actual 3-D in this game, at least, pseudo 3-D. You can rotate the playing field while recharging your energy and see what I mean. It's totally breath-taking. Truly inspiring. Almost made me pass out when I first saw actually 3-D on a 32-Bit GBA. Unfortunatly, the sound isn't quite as magnificent as the graphics.

Sound: 7/10
The sound isn't all too impressive this time around. Some of the music reminds me of the cave theme in Pokemon Blue! Granted, the beeping gets annoying sometimes, some of the music is really well done. The levels, fighting battles, and voices are really good. If it wasn't for that insane beeping noise in some of the music, it would get full points.

To Rent...or to Buy...that is the question.
If you are a die-hard Sonic fan, I suggest you to buy this game as soon as possible. If you're not, I suggest renting it first, and then buying it. Trust me, as soon as you start playing you won't be able to put the game down. It's just that good. Whether you are the ultimate Sonic fan or a person who wants a great fighting game, this is a must-have game that will make pleasant memories for you and the person you kill. ^_^
