"The 'Underground' on GBA"

-----------------------------------------------
---Intro
-----------------------------------------------

Well, yes, neversoft does it again! Another Tony Hawk game and this time on Game Boy Advance! The huge hit Tony Hawk's Underground with the most success ever on the PS2, (Which I play online everyday) is a (quick) and yet amazing game... So why did I give it a 7? Well, read on and see...

------------------------------------------------
---Gameplay
------------------------------------------------

When I first picked up this game (my first GBA game), I was introduced to one of the most major slowdowns I have ever seen, and that includes my old Pentium 2 PC. The game tends to lock up, or mostly slow down a lot when there are a lot of tasks in the background...Some like a timer ticking away, while you pull a McTwist, and a car drives by, as you pull off a 360 Spine Transfer...Sometimes however, you can use the slowdown to your advantage.

FINAL SCORE: 6/10

------------------------------------------------
---Graphics
------------------------------------------------

My first reaction to the graphics were, ''Woah, man that is sweet!''. But after a while you start to see many flaws and when they show close-ups (something they should have avoided) the characters look like melting blobs instead of people...But for the vast size of the levels, this can be excused...Overall, it is amazing for a handheld game.

FINAL SCORE: 8/10

------------------------------------------------
---Fun Factor
------------------------------------------------

The game is a lot more fun in the first level or two then it is later in the game...The levels get so repetitive after a while, and the goals make the player want to chuck it out the window...However, some of the goals and levels are great and really well done. It really does blow your mind away at such a little game. The game dosn't take long to beat, longer then the console version, and the storyline is really bad. It dosnt follow the other versions very well...

FINAL SCORE: 6/10

------------------------------------------------
---Difficulty
------------------------------------------------

You can eventually now change the difficulty...Either way to easy, or normal mode which is really not even a difficulty. So the game does tend to get annoying when it comes to difficulty, and you can change it at anytime.

FINAL SCORE: 4/10

------------------------------------------------
---Replay Value
------------------------------------------------

Not much at all...You do unlock all the pro skaters to play in arcade mode, or against a friend...But it really isnt that much fun. It depends on if your friend sucks or not. It really takes a good gamer and a lot of getting used to, to learn to play this game well...But there is really nothing else to unlock...Unless cheats is your style...

FINAL SCORE: 3/10

------------------------------------------------
---Sound
------------------------------------------------

The sound pretty much sucks...The songs make you wanna go crazy and kill someone. They really just sound like a broken record...Really!! But the sound effects(''AAHH!!'' ''Skrreeech'' ''OOF!'' and the lesser known ''SMACK'')are not too bad. I just played the entire game with the sound off...You should too.

FINAL SCORE: 5/10

------------------------------------------------
---Overall Score
------------------------------------------------

Once again, the game is really sick for a GBA game...But it has some MAJOR flaws...But it is because it is a GBA game, and it has some major high points, I give it a

7.5/10
