Zapper: One Wicked Cricket!

Zapper is an ok game. Truly it is. It still deserves a two out of a possible ten. The game really lets it self go at some parts of it. The story for instance. Well basically there's just an evil bug that tries to do bad things. Zapper with the magical eggs needs to get to him and stop him once and for all.

The graphics are the best part of the game. The graphics deserve a seven out of ten at the least. The only bad part is that Zapper doesn't move, he hops and it can really give you a headache after a while. The bad guys and platforms and flooring of the game is brilliant! It looks very 'cartoony' and that gives the game a pleasing look.

Sound is excellent too. Especially for a Game Boy Advanced/SP. The sounds are nice simple music that matches the theme of the level you are doing. A simply brilliant job on the sounds and the music of the game. The special abilities (when you open one) also sound great. A eight out of ten on sound!

The gameplay and replay time is the part of the game that REALLY lets itself go. It takes two to four hours max to complete the game. Replaying the levels isn't actually fun but annoying. The extra levels you have to do are fun at first but get boring just a few plays. Don't get too excited unlocking them, they are really not worth it. To complete each level basically, you have to get six eggs which opens the portal to the next level. There are only fifteen levels altogether so I wouldn't get too excited about it.

And a final touch. The game is really not worth buying for too much. If it was a gift, then keep it, you might like it. It keeps you occupied when you have nothing better to do with your life. Sell it if you can. Don't expect too much. Atari should really have spent time on the story board for this game. Also the movement and secrets. Graphics and sound is fantastic. Final recommendation, I must say I'll give it a two out of ten maximum. So final statement. Please if it is like ten pounds or more then do not buy it. If it is like five pounds then buy it if you're bored. So please please please please please please please please please please please PLEASE stressing the please once more, consider buying thing game before you do.
