Pokemon FireRed Version

"Way better than the originals, and possibly the best pokemon game yet......"

This is a great game considering i can't read Japanese. The graphics have been brought up to Ruby and Sapphire standard, and if i'm not mistaken they look a little better.Sound is same just gameboy advance standard.
On to the actual review:

Graphics: 10/10
Apart from Golden Sun, you really can not ask for better graphics than these of Fire Red/Leaf Green. You see your reflection in water, the pokemon you surf on actually looks like something, and the trees(especially virdian forest) look amazing.

Controls:10/10
Simply easy. Controlling in this game is very easy and this is one thing that takes time off of the learning curve. Easy to learn to use.

Gameplay: 9/10
Same thing as the original game with some added secrets. Go through the game, try and collect badges which is building you up for the all mighty Elite Four. Gotta catch em' all! Not much difference.

Sound:9/10
Same as the original except upgraded to Gameboy advance standard. Still, not all that bad. I like the battle music most.

Replay Value:8/10
With so many pokemon you could maybe last going through the game at least two separate times. Because this game is so straight forward you wont really miss anything after going through it twice. But, it gets its well deserved 8/10.

Difficulty:7/10
Same as every other pokemon game made, not to hard. Unless of course you go for the iv exploring, ev training and what not, which is still more of a time thing than difficulty. Not hard to play.

Learning Curve:N/A
No rate, I don't know many people who are going to rate a game on its learning curve. Anyway, if your a vet, you already know how to play, so......a minute at most. If your playing for the VERY first time(highly unlikely) its about 30 minutes.

Lifespan:10/10
In this particular game there ALOT of things to do. If you do everything that you can before you beat the Elite Four, it will take about 18-23 hours to finish. Then of course, like every pokemon game, special features open themselves up to you after beating the E-4.

Why these games over the originals?
The graphics are better, the sound is better, the pokemon sprites are better, and everything else is just BETTER than whats in the originals. Of course if your an old-school player, get the originals if you want to.

Overall:8/10
Its an amazing game with amazing graphics, decent sound and replay, great gameplay. If the question Rent or Buy comes up, buy it. Hope this review helps!
