"Not yet..."

Introduction
Once more, a power rangers series was released and a game based on it appeared on the stores. When I first saw it, i thought that they could have finally made a nice power rangers game, but... it was true. :-\

Gameplay
Like in most power rangers games, you will get to control someone (this time you can pick groups of rangers, and you can switch between the guys in your team by pressing a certain key) from the series and will have to fight against thousands of bad guys, finishing each level with a fight with a stronger monster that once defeated, will grow up... Ups, how will you fight against that giant monster? You will have to call the robots (here called zords) specific to the guys you chose to play with in the previous level, but instead of having to play in a ''real'' battle, in this section you will only have to press a certain button before the enemy does so. Seems easy, but it takes a lot of time to master and, because of the strange controls of this game, it will be likely to you miss the move most of the times. Really, I did! As you may imagine from all this, the game becomes somehow boring after a while, since all the levels and stuff are played almost the same way. And there's something really boring... it appears that each ranger only has 2 or 3, plus his special attack, which can only be used after defeating a couple of monsters. I mean, every time you try to strike an enemy, the image looks like the same, but if you jump and strike, you have a different attack, and the same goes for you crouching and attacking...

Story
Hum, how you may imagine this game's story is based on the one of the series, but most stuff were just taken out of the game (you can't play the first events of the series, and so on...), making it not even nice for those who are power rangers fans or liked the series.

Graphics/Sound
Neither the graphics nor the sound are good, making you think that you should be doing something else. The only thing that deserves a special mention is the grpahics from when you are forming the zord that will fight in the giant battles. Apart from that, there's nothing special about this game.

Play Time/Replayability
Even if you can stand this game for a long time, the only thing you will be able to do in it, is to finish the game with the 3 possible groups of rangers, but even that isn't very interesting...

Final Recommendation
Maybe you should think of renting it, but only if you loved the series...
