Beyblade VForce: Ultimate Blader Jam
Review by Mykas0
"How to make money..."
Introduction
Hum, for you to be reading this you may already know that this game was based in an anime that simply is one of the worse series I've ever seen. You could think this game would be based on the series, but even that wasn't made, since the game doesn't have much to do with the series, keep on reading to know why...
Gameplay
First of all, of course there are some of those objects in the game, those which were referred in the anime as ''beyblades'', but you can't choose which one you want to use or change any of their pieces, in order to improve their stats. When you enter the first levels (which are just tutorial ones), you will see your beyblade in a place that looks like a maze, and if you fell from there you will loose you game. Well, this could be a task easy to perform, but unfortunatly all the beyblades are really hard to control, so it will happen to you that you will loose lots of times before being able to accomplish the target of a certain level, which most of the times will be reaching a certain point. However, when you find any boss battle you only need to try to push him for outside of the maze, which may turn to be quite easy if you have a strange power, here called bitbeast. Each character has his own bitbeast, which can be enabled by pushing some of the opponents you will find throught the game for outside the maze. Finally, there are some other bonus you can collect in the levels (but most of the times they are in places that you can hardly reach), which will be added to a list of the bonus from the again, and unfortunatly it doesn't appear to exist for anything else.
Story
From the game you can't easily find the story, but as far as I understood this game occurs before the world championship, with Tayson and the rest of the guys fighting Boris and his Demolition Boys.
Graphics/Sound
The graphics are weak, really weak. I mean, you can't even understand some of the details, and most of the times you will finish by loosing just because you couldn't see what was coming next. Concerning the sound, it isn't good either, since the aren't any sounds that you should listen to, except for the theme from the english version of the series.
Play Time/Replayability
It surely has an high play time, but you'll become really bored of playing it, since some of the levels are really tough and it's almost impossible to get through them. Also, it has some new levels to unlock if you perform certain tasks, but those are even more difficult to perform, surely giving you an hard time.
Final Recommendation
This game is a clear example of what the producers of a game shouldn't do, just because they have a license doesn't mean that the game will be good. I don't think you should play this, I only gave it a 2 since you can listen to the english theme of the anime, which is really nice.
