"If you find it, buy it, if you dont stumble upon it, dont bother looking"

Man. What a wacky nutty game this was. I'll tell you why kids.........its just because! I have no doubt in my mind that this game would be a blast to program. It was probably done by a small team just looking to make a fun quirky game. They succeeded. This game is undoubtably a good game. Defiantly what you would call a buried treasure. In fact, I think this game defines buried treasure.

What is it?
You're a Yeti. Sasquatch. Big foot. Whatever you would like to call it. Your mission(should you choose to accept it) is to find a mate. You will do this by competing in mindlessly fun mini-games. You start off with one newspaper, you go from there. But watch out, some people will do anything to catch the Yeti and you must be careful. With a top down perspective and gameplay similar to GTA and GTA2 you will quest.....to find a mate!

Graphics 4/10-
The game really tried to push the graphical capabilities of the GBA. A little to hard if you ask me. Although everything seems to look good, it all collapses when you start roaming the streets. Even when there is a tiny bit of clutter on the streets the framerate suffers. It gets really bad when there are alot of people. It ruins the game. I would eaisily given the game and 8 but the graphics pull it down.

Control 8/10-
Nothing special here. Top down perspective=good control. The only reason I docked a few points were some of the mini-games. Nobody will notice any control flaws but I have to say that I am a real control whore. So I notice the small things. The kind of things Urban Yeti offers to me in its mini-games.

Sound 6/10-
Again, nothing above average here. You've got your tunes in both the mini-games and on the streets(I actually found the tunes catchy but they are not for everyone). Not much in the way of sound effects so I docked a few points. So, if you turn down then sound you wont be missing much.

Overall 6/10-
There is absolutly nothing that makes this game better than the others. The graphics stink, the sound is mediocre, the control is as good as a game like this gets. But I think this game has the best concept ever. A Yeti, trying to find a mate, wanders to a city, where he carries out strange tasks(in the form of mini-games) in order to meet this mate. This is a formula for success my friends. If you buy this game dont expect some high production game. You will be playing the game because its just fun to play. And that is what video games should be about. Right?
