Tang Tang
Review by Master Of Chaos
"Ugh...wrong block..."
Tang Tang is a game released for the GameBoy Advance. It ain't that popular at all, and I can see why. I was stupid enough to even buy this game, let alone play it. When I did, though, I was extremely disappointed. This game consists of none of the magic that most games have today, and can get very boring. That's why I dumped it altogether and never touched the game again.
STORY: 3
Well, there is a plot mentioned in the manual, but that's pretty much it. In the game, there is absolutely no mention of the storyline. It's just...complete the level and get to the next. Pretty plain, huh?
GRAPHICS: 10
Nothing wrong with the graphics. Typical GBA style, 16-bit sprites as plain as day. The bosses are kind of funny-looking, but the backgrounds are amazing and I can safely say that there are no true flaws here. Onward...
SOUND: 7
The music is...okay. It isn't too annoying, however some of the tunes make me want to vomit. The sound-effects are satisfactory. There's nothing special about them. You destroy an enemy, create a block...yep, just about that.
CONTROL: 9
It's sometimes hard to jump over an enemy, but controlling your character isn't too difficult. Creating a block is extremely easy, and that's saying something, considering how many blocks you'll need to create in one playing session.
GAMEPLAY: 5
I don't like this game. It loses a lot of charm after the first few levels. You control a character with the ability to create blocks...blocks that you can step on, destroy, stop the enemy's path, etc. You need to collect crystals to get to the next level, and the next, and so on. It gets really repetitive, and you won't want to keep playing after a while.
DIFFICULTY: 7
This game is easy. I beat it in two days, but after that, I stopped playing it. The bosses are sometimes cheap, and you might get stuck on one level for a time, but don't forget that you can also continue in this game...
REPLAY VALUE: 3
Replay value? HAHAHAHAHAHA!! That's funny, you don't see me playing this game any more than you do. Once you beat the game (which shouldn't take very long), you probably won't want to play it again.
CONCLUSION
Story - 3
Graphics - 10
Sound - 7
Control - 9
Gameplay - 5
Difficulty - 7
Replay Value - 3
Overall Score - 4
BUY OR RENT? The answer is simple: DON'T BUY IT!! Rent it if you want, but only if you're a desperate gamer, or else you'll be wasting money before your very eyes...
Let's hope the sequel is better than this. For now, I think I'll just play Bomberman or something to pass time...
