The Incredible Hulk (2003)

"It's just INCREDIBLE!"

Before I bought this game I went and saw the movie and enjoyed it very much. A lot of people said they didn't like the movie but I thought the movie was excellent. After the movie got done I was walking through the mall and stopped in at BestBuy and bought The Incredible Hulk for GBA. I said to myself hey I liked the movie so let's give the game a try. The game was just as good as the movie. I doubt there will be a sequel though.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics were excellent for a GBA game. Hulk was 3D and so were all the villains. It was fun to actually have some good graphics in a GBA game finally. You wouldn't think the graphics would be good but they are and it really helps the game out. Having 2D graphics sometimes hurts the game.

Story: 10/10
The story in this game was similiar to the story in the movie. The cut scenes had The Hulk talking and what was going to go down next and it was like a comic. The story is developed around the main character, Bruce Banner, saves a teen who gets caught in the testing field. After saving the teen, Banner gets blown away by a bomb which gave off the deadly gamma energy. Now the army and villains try to take down Bruce "The Hulk" and more and more he gets angry.

Control: 8/10
The control in this game is very easy. Tap A and B for different movies. L for rage attack and R for the so called special.

Sound: 7/10
Wasn't too bad but not too good either. You hear the Hulk grunt a lot and the sound of punches. The background music gets to you but you can just turn it off.

Gameplay: 9/10
This game is very enjoyable. Once you start you won't want to stop until you beat the game. If you enjoy destroying things then you'll have fun in this. Hulk fans will enjoy this with smashing and beating the living daylights out of people. It's just like the comics!

Replay Value: 8/10
If you like the game most likely you will keep playing it until you beat it. Once you beat it you probably won't want to play it again.

Overall: 9/10
Overall this is a great game. If you're into tthe MARVEL series then you'll like this. If you liked the movie "The Hulk" then you'll like this game as well. If you're looking for something to while you're bored then this is a great selection for a game.

RENT OR BUY: I'd say buy it. No point in renting it because it'll be pretty much the same price as buying it and it's better to buy it and have the game.
