Pitfall: The Lost Expedition
Review by Axel Gear 9000
"Pitfall Dose It Again"
Introduction
This game was released on February 18, 2004. It didn't get a lot of attention like the other versions of this game. Not many people played it but the people who did liked it. Im one those people.
Story
The story has been changed from the other versions of the game. A few of the characters don't exist in this version. The game is still just as good as the other versions.
Graphics
The graphics are good like all the GBA games I have played. There are good levels (and their designs), and decent sprite designs, and good animation.
Audio
The audio is slightly low quality. Its good its just a little bit low quality. The music good for the game. The best track of the game I have to say is the boss music. The song is excellent for boss music. The SFX are decent. There not the best but still its ok for the game.
Controls
The controls are very easy to use. Im sure that you will have no problems with it at all. You attack, change weapons, jump, and the thing you do in every Pitfall game swing on vines.
Gameplay
The gameplay is what makes this game so great. Like in the other versions of this game, you backtrack a lot. In this you don't backtrack at all. This actually goes by levels. Thats the way it should be. You don't do a whole lot in this game but the game plays great. There's top view and side scrolling levels. The side scrolling levels are better.
Conclusion
This is great Pitfall game. The other GBA Pitfall game was very bad port of the Mayan Adventure. Don't get that version of that game. Anyway, if you see the game and you enjoy the Pitfall games buy it. It only cost $20 now. But it should go down $5 dollars soon though.
