"I wish that there would be a cartoon-based game that would be okay *POOF* Yay!"

Fairly OddParents is one of the latest Nicktoons on Nickelodeon and is one of the funniest around but not as overrated as Spongebob. Created by Butch Hartman and Steve Marmel, former directors of Johnny Bravo.

Story: 9/10
Timmy Turner is an average kid, who no one understands. His mom, dad and evil babysitter Vicky are always giving him commands. Luckily he has two Fairly OddParents Cosmo and Wanda who grants him anything he wants (as long as it doesn't break "Da Rules". So that's the main story. In this game, Timmy wishes to join his favorite hero in his favorite comic book "The Crimson Chin". Wish granted, he sets off to the comic book world only to find that the Chin's been kidnapped and the comic is in ruins. Timmy, as sidekick Cleft, must defeat all the evil that stands against him.

Graphics: 8/10
Everything looks very nice and cartoony, not a lot of animation frames for every character but good enough. The comic world kind of nice because you can see the space between every panel that you see in all comics. It's not all bad and leaves nothing to be desired.

Sound: 9/10
The music is GB Advancey enough for me. Similar to the music in FF Tactics Advance. It's good that it doesn't use mediocre video-gamish music you hear in other cartoon based games. The pause music is just sweet, it is my favorite track in that game. The intro almost sounds similar to the real cartoon's theme song, too.

Gameplay: 8/10
Fun and simple. Jump, shoot water, jump, shoot water. It may be a little boring as it sounds but at least you don't need to do any necessary collecting, and the levels aren't so hard, or environmentally vast. When you find the Fairies in disguise, you can by items with the wands (collectible objects like coins, rings, etc) that'll help out. However, you don't really need them. But certain weapons may be a help in boss battles. The controls are good and nicely responsive. And the Bosses are a little hard but still easy to beat.

Replay: 5/10
I don't know, but the music is so nice. There isn't a true point to actually playing this game again. No different endings and all.

Buy/Rent:
Rent. But you can keep it for the nice music.

Overall: 8/10
I've played a lot of cartoon-based games, some were bad but this one's all right. It's simple but the gameplay has a pretty good length.
