Review by Gold Ursaring

"Improving on a true gaming classic!"

Pokemon Red and Blue version were very well crafted games. They aged. The graphics have done them in. They look horrible. Most old game boy games do. Nintendo has opted to give them back there dignity and in doing so expanded on a classic.

It's a tough task. This game has the best dungeons in Pokemon game history, before they dumbed them down in the Gold, Silver and Crystal Version (great games). Of all the games this has the most potential.

Nintendo has restored the games to a new glory. The graphics are simple but bearable. Something that can age like the old Mario and Sonic games. In a stroke of brilliance much of the game remains the same. The new areas are well crafted and well planned.

Who should get this game?
Everyone except those who hated the original Pokemon Red and Blue. This is a remake. Take a trip down nostalgia lane. See the best Pokemon, the originals haven't really been beaten (some come and match them but this game has the best variety of Pokemon) in the new environment.

What about the fact this is a scam for Nintendo to rake in more money?
Let them, this is good and I think they know it. If they make good games, I hope people buy.

What makes it good?
The concept is fresh again. Catch Them All! The game is alive again. Everything you could want is back. The things left out were only hampering the series. This is a back to the basics approach. A much simpler Pokemon. No worries about berries or the cute factor, simply raising and battling the Pokemon.

Life is back in the game. I urge everyone who is thinking about getting it to buy it and to those who hate the former fad, don't miss out on this game.

I do believe these have qualities to allow it to age better then Red and Blue. Namely, bearable graphics. Rather then go all out, this chooses simplicity.

The sound is alright, nothing amazing.

The game itself is a sensation.
