Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury

"Punch, Punch, Blast..."

Dragon Ball Z: Buu?s Fury is a definite improvement over past games in this on going series of games that keeps getting better, although occasionally some things are sacrificed that worked out well from the previous games.

GRAPHICS---9/10

The standard GBA graphics are involved which does not allow for very good resolution in the game but it still looks stunning. The looks of the energy attacks are a lot better than they were in the previous games. Unfortunately, not much was done to make the melee attacks look better. They are still just little swishes through the air with some barely visible movements.

SOUND---7/10

The sound in this game is what it has been in previous games, not all that much to say about that. It kind of gets annoying after long periods of game play.

GAME PLAY---8/10

In this game you level up way to fast especially if you are using weights. By the end of the game it only took me five to ten enemies to get to the next level. The melee attacks are way too overpowered, so if you want a challenge than they should not be leveled all of the way up to as powerful as they can possibly be. The special melee attacks have been taken out, so some people may occasionally find themselves holding the ?A? button for periods of time for no reason. There has been a great improvement made to energy attacks. They look much better and now they level up when you hit certain levels. This makes them do more damage and look cooler, which is always a bonus. There are more exhibits to collect now, forty total, thirty five more than in the previous game. You still get a bonus character when you get them all so that is all good.

REPLAY VALUE---5/10

The replay value of this game pretty much does not even exist. Once you beat the game and get all of the exhibits there is nothing left to do other than train, which is too easy, and eventually all of characters will be leveled up to the max, and so then you are stuck...bored...

OVERALL---7/10

This is a fun game, although it has its flaws that it should not have. Every game has flaws but this one has more than is usual. That is why I consider this game just average.
