"Finally available in english!"

Introduction
Before starting to write this review I must tell you that I am not a fan from the anime/manga with the same name (I never even heard about it! =| ), meaning that perhaps some of the data I'll provide in this review is inaccurate... From what I heard, appears this is based on the japanese version of a game called Zoids Saga 2, but I knew nothing more about it before trying the game...

Gameplay
As in most rpg's, you will start by controlling a huge car in which your zoids are stored, and once you get to a city you will be able to control your character, which I heard that is also a main character from one of the series... Then, you just need to hang out a little in the city, you can go to a place where, if certain conditions are met (like number of characters on your team, or other things like those...), you will be able to battle different opponents. Most of the times this is only good for you to level up, but there are places where you will also need to do it in order to advance in the story... In those cities you can also buy healing items and new weapons, upgrade your zoids or just get general info by talking with people that live there... Farther in the game, you will also get a creature which can improve your stats in the battles, and its own stats can be improved by getting certain events or just by choosing certain option in specific dialogues in town... As for the battles, I will speak truthfully... I didn't liked them at all, as they get really boring after a while... There is now a key which lets you speed up the battle animations, but even by using that you will get tired of them easily... Most of the times you will be controlling a single zoid, but as you advance one the game you will be able to use many more in the battles, up to a maximum limit of 6 (I am not sure of this! =\ ). But... most of the times they just go like this: you attack, 3 enemies attack you, you attack, 3 enemies attack you, you kill one of them, and so one, which turns out to be REALLY boring, due to the amount of time that each battle sequence takes...

Story
As far as I played, it seems that you are a boy who met a girl, but then she was kidnapped (strangely, several times!), and you will try to get her back, since she was nice... When trying to achieve it, you will also meet lots of new characters, most of which were taken from the series...

Graphics/Sound
As you can see from the animated sequence from the beginning of the game, the graphics from the battles are very good, although you can't really see your zoid attacking the opponent. The graphics on the field (I mean, in towns, events and others...) are also good, they seem like the ones in most gba games (like Golden Sun or Final Fantasy Tatics) and that's good! As for the sound, I didn't quite liked it, as most of the musics become boring after a while...

Play Time/Replayability
Perhaps this game has an huge play time, not because of you needing a lot of time to finishing it but because you will get bored of it often, so you will need to stop playing and continue other day. As for replay value, I doubt it has any, like most rpg's...

Final Recommendation
If you are a fan from the series, you should get this game. If you aren't, perhaps you should ask a friend to borrow this to you, or not play it at all...
