Medal of Honor Infiltrator
Review by elfofdoom15
"Good, but not as great as some make it out to be..."
This game seems to be drawn between really good and just good, and I wish I could have put a 7.5 for it (and yet, gamefaqs doesn't want fractions...). Keeping that in mind...
Gameplay: 9
The gameplay was very good. The different "missions" each contain one of each of the three types of levels that make up this game (guns-roaring, sneak-past, and shoot-em-up). The moving-to-objective type of levels, where it is 3rd-person, are mostly straightforward. The 1st-person shoot-em-up levels do constitute a nice repreive from the other grueling levels, which does add variety to the game. And sub-objectives aparently were a must-have, which I kind of understand. Overall, the gameplay was good.
Graphics: 8.5
The best graphics that one might expect from a GBA. Also, the war clips shown after every mission are a bit grainy, but one cannot expect much more from this. On a regular GBA, the colors are a little dark, but I am sure on the SP they are much better. Overall, they were good.
Story: 6.5
Very straightforward. Nothing special, just go through the campaign and get medals. It is vaguely connected to WWII, in the fact that you start at Normandy and are fighting germans, but nothing big.
Specials: 5
This has almost NOTHING special in it! The unlockables seem very straightforward, and the quick-start does not constitute any applause at all. There isnt even a difficulty selection! No special levels, no extra missions, the only thing that might at all change gameplay is language selection!
Overall: 7.5
Ok, I admit, I am really one for specials, and this game was disapointing in that respect. Still, gameplay was good, and the graphics were not really lacking. But if you get stuck on a mission, you do feel like putting it down for a while. Still, its a good game. And I would probably recommend it, if you liked this game series.
