Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
Review by darkmagician11
"Nearly the worst game in the series, but still pretty good!"
As a Kirby fan, I have played most of the Kirby games out there. However, this was the worst out there. However, it is still a great addition to the series! Still a must play!
Graphics (10 out of 10)
Can there be better graphics? You got your perfectly formed cell phone, 4 good Kirbies, the best Meta Knight sprite out there, what more could there possibly be? Color changes to your Kirby that is! In this game, you can collect cans of spray paint and change your Kirby's color to more than 10 colors! Also, the power graphics are amazing. If you have the Fire power, it will make you think there is a fire. Simply amazing graphics.
Sound (8 out of 10)
Extremely great sound effects, but they are used too much! In this game, the sound effects are great, but you have to use the buttons A LOT! The sucking sound will get annoying, the 'pop' sound when you land is monotonous, you will know what I mean.
Music (10 out of 10)
The best music out there that goes with the game, and theres a big variety of it! If you are a fan of Kirby, you will like his music. Sometimes the music messes up just a little bit, but it is still great!
Powers (9 out of 10)
If you haven't played any Kirby games yet, you probably won't know what this section means. If you didn't know already, Kirby can suck in enemies and take their powers if they have them. This game also has a little description for each power if you press start while you have one .Theres a good amount of powers in this game and some differ greatly, but there is one problem. The best power in the game, UFO Kirby, is one of the rarest powers!
Plot (7 out of 10)
The plot is kind of confusing until you get into the game. Shadow Meta Knight breaks a magical mirror and cuts Kirby into 4, and evil comes from the mirror. There is a more in depth plot description at the beginning of the game if you wait at the press start screen, so it makes up for having to get into the game.
Navigation (3 out of 10)
This is the biggest downfall of this game. This game does give you maps, but theres no marks AT ALL where you just went, where you need to go, not even numbers over the doors! I got lost a lot in this game. It took me a while to beat the game just because of the navigation. Don't play this if you don't have a very good memory.
Buy or rent: Buy if you are a HUGE Kirby fan or like Kirby games and have a good memory, rent if you have a bad memory or just want to check out what the Kirby series is like.
