"This is a good game, if you can get it in any way..."
Introduction- This is a game that was first released on MAC, and then over to game boy advance now, well how does it stack up, is it good, or is it a poor GTA game, that is what it was inspired by...
Graphics- 7/10- I would give this higher, but it doesn't look that good as it should, the view is at a isometric view with some decent 3D graphics, but they could be better much better. They do get the job done though, unfortunately, I think the cars look pretty lame for 3D they are all so generic and...well...lame, even lamer that the cars in the first GTA, so what gives? Good enough though, they shouldn't hurt your eyes to bad.
Sound- 10/10- Awwwwwww... music to my ears, speaking of music, the music in this game is great sounding and even catchy, and pleasant to listen too, also the sound of the guns and cars are good, and explosions, better than GTA Advance, one of my favorite gba games now. However the sound is a little blurry sounding, but very good, and much less annoying than GTA Advance.
Story- NA/10- well, there isn't a story...really there isn't, it's like GTA the first one, you are a low life criminal and you bounce back and fourth to different phones picking up odd mob jobs, and that is it, not much dept, but good for this game.
Control- 10/10- The control is great, even better than GTA Advance, it takes place at a isometric view, think fallout, so it is easier, much easier to see ahead than in GTA Advance, plus the camera is all ways behind you like in a Tomb Raider game. So controlling your guy and even your car is easy and fun, this control also makes shooting much easier than in GTA Advance, overall the control is fantastic and works very well, one of the highest points in this game.
Game play- 6/10- This is where the game falls, it has a open-ended structure like GTA Advance, but there isn't much to do other than drive, kill and do the missions, in GTA Advance you have kill frenzies, side-missions, bonus missions, hidden packages, plus a am-mu nation to buy guns at, you don't have any thing similar in this game. You just drive, kill, do mission, get bored, but for some time it is fun, but then gets lame...very quickly.
Bottom line- If you like GTA Advance, then try, but it won't blow your mind, if you can buy it, don't, it won't keep you entertained for that long at all, as GTA Advance will, plus payback has no real save feature, but GTA Advance does.
