"A mixed blessing"

Introduction-Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever 2 is the sequeal to the first person shooter called Ecks Vs. Sever, one of the first FPS's in the GBA genre. Ballistic Ecks Vs Sever is definatley a mixed blessing because it has a lot of pros and cons.

Graphics- 7/10
The graphics were hard to grade because the enemies and surroundings don't look good at all but the weapons are truly amazing looking (mixed blessing). The surroundings are ok but they aren't very detailed and the enemies look good from a distance but they look like a bunch of blocks stacked together up close. But the weapons are all very detailed, look just like the real thing.

Sound- 8/10
Because the sound is a mixed blessing (I know that stupid term is getting annoying but it best describes most things in the game) it was also very hard to grade. The sound effects are concole worthy. The guns all sound different, realstic and loud. The enemies shout stuff at each other and you. They'll scream HEY! or WHAT THE!?! and things like that. The sound effects really are a nice touch. But the problem is that that there is no background music during play and that makes it kind of dull. The menu music is also gets kind of annoying after a while. Because of this the sound looses a point.

Story- 8/10
There are 2 separate stories in this game, one for Ecks and one for Sever. The missions are very creative and a blast to play. The story is your basic evil corparation tries taking over the world for Ecks, and evil terrorists in the Middle East for Sever. The missions are very challenging and vary in what you can do. For example, in one of Sever's missions you have to direct a guided missle through air vents to destroy giant bombs, and in one of Ecks's missions you have to rescue hostages inside the British ambassadors mansion. These and many others are the cool missions you can do in both of the story modes.

Gameplay-8/10
Here we go to the most important part of any game, the gameplay. Gameplay is an imposrtant factor and Ecks Vs Sever doesn't dissapoint. There are a lot of different kinds of weapons from assault rifles and guided missles, and even if you run out of ammo, you have a knife and a pistol that reloads one clip at a time. It has amazing multiplayer modes with your basic deathmatch, assasination mode, bomb mode, capture the flag, even a co-op mode where one player is the shooter and the other a bloodhound! Multiplayer is also very fun to play if you can find any one else who has this game (the most fun is Assasination). One bad thing is that you need to remember passwords but the passwords aren't that hard to remember so don't worry to much. This game has a lot to offer and will last you a good couple months and a lot more if you can do multiplayer a lot.

Buy,rent or ignore-
You probably won't be able to find a non used copy of the game because it is very rare, if you see somewhere and your a fan of shooting games, i strongly suggest you buy because your not gonna find this game in many places.
