Pokemon Emerald Version

"Another Pokemon Game!"
Introduction
Well, this is another pokemon game. It came from a long way, if we think of Red and blue. But this is better than red and blue and it made a really big jump from the old games. You may think that this game is a remake of Ruby and Sapphire but it is not, well it is but a lot of things were change from those games, instead of just stopping team Aqua or team Magma, you have to stop those two gangs from completing their task. Well we will see more below
Gameplay 9/10
Well, if you have already played other pokemon games than you should already know the basics, the game and the controls, for the others that don't know, than you'll have to learn them by your own, but they are very easy to learn. This game has a nice feature that was brought in Ruby and Sapphire, the ability to choose your characters gender (Boy or a Girl). After a lot of talking you will get your first pokemon, with pokemons you can fight other opponents (pokemon) and when you beat them you will get some experience. This experience will make your pokemon stronger, after you get the amount of experience recommended, your pokemon will evolve into a different monster, once you get the twist at this game you will know almost everything about pokemons. You can also catch other pokemons, you will need some pokeballs for this, once you get another pokemon he or she depending on the gender will join your party, you will be able to train him or her, and get them very strong, so that when you get to important battle this pokemon will be ready for action. Along the story you will make friends and foes, pokemon are not just battles, their are other great things to discover.
Difference/ Ruby and Sapphire
A lot of people are asking themselves, what is the difference between Ruby and Sapphire, easy The first big thing in this game is that you will have to beat the two teams (team Aqua and team Magma). They will try to awaken to two pokemons that were on the cover of Ruby and Sapphire. Will they be able to achieve their goal? You wil have to play to know. Well this is the major thing that is a change from Ruby and Sapphire but there are other things like the battles 2 vs 2, there is a battle theme park, in here you will be able to fight a lot of different pokemons in many different ways. There are battles in which you will not be able to control your pokemon, other battles that you will be able to control pokemons but are not yours, and many other things that you will discover by your own.
Story 6/10
Well as other pokemon games your main goal is to be the greatest pokemon master of all times. You will set out of your town, with your main objective to gather every badge and catch every pokemon. You will also meet two gangs, team Aqua and team Magma in which you will have to stop their evil plans. You will be in a world of pokemon that is called Hoenn, this game is like every other pokemon games, the only thing that change are the names of the towns, several new pokemons and evil gangs. Other than that, pretty much every thing is the same.
Graphics 9/10
The graphics are very well done, if you liked the graphics of Ruby and Sapphire, you will be served, because they are exactly the same. The colours of the game look very nice, the field animations are really well done, and the battle animations are very good. One great thing that this game has is that on battle animations, your pokemons will actually move, not like pokemon crystal where the pokemon just moves a tiny bit, which I thought that at this was very great, but these animations are very well done. This game has also cutscenes, there is also other great things, like your footprints that stay behind you when walk (eventually they will disapear), raindrops, ashes and your reflection in the water. Almost all these things were taken from Ruby and Sapphire but they are very well done.
Sound 7/10
Well I could of lowered the score but since the sound effects are good, I put 7/10. The sound, the sound, well nothing very interesting here, it is almost the same tune all the time. It gets very repetitive. I suggest you do not put sound at all and, to turn on your radio or something. I put a 7 because the sound effects were good, at least for a GBA game, you hear water splashing, thunder, wind etc. they were very well done.
Replayability
Well the replayability is quite good, there is a lot of pokemons to catch out there and maybe side quests that you left behind. This will keep you quite busy for several hours, I'm not even finished, I have to catch other pokemons and complete side quests. On thing is sure is that you will stay in front of that tiny screen for several hours, but you will enjoy this game.
Rent or Buy
Well, if you like long and repetitive music, than ths is your game. No seriously, I suggest you buy this game, you can't beat the game within several rents, impossible! with everything to catch and complete. If you are not sure than rent it and see if you like the game, if you are a really big pokemon fan then buy this game without a rent.
Overall: 8/10 Very long and fun game!!
